To be fed up of wearing jumpers and fleeces

So here we are, southern England, end of May and after a glorious, warm and sunny start today it's yet again back to overcast and cold thanks to the north easterly wind direction. I'm feeling cold so have changed out of a summery dress into jeans and a light jumper.

I'd rather be feeling chilly and needing to get warm rather than too hot and needing to cool down, and I definitely don't want another 40c heatwave as per 2022, but I wish we could have some warm sunshine for more than just a day at a time.

The jet stream and climate really is fucked up these days.

It was 17 degrees here, that is not warm…

Northern Spain and its definitely layers here, (light jacket/sweater) although the sun was shining when we arrived earlier, apparently there was heavy rain yesterday

I saw two girls in bikinis in Tesco today. Can’t blame them for trying I guess. It’s maybe 22 if we’re lucky!

East anglia here and it's crap. Just about warm enough I haven't really needed the heating on, but constant rainy days mean I had to put it on this morning just to try and dry some washing. I don't want hot weather, but some sun would be nice!

Same, I had to revert back to jeans and a jumper today as was so cold. Not happy about it!

I took my duvet off and was just using the duvet cover
Had to add a blanket back on. Now contemplating the duvet again

South east here, in bed with frozen feet 😐wishing I hadn’t removed the electric blanket

had to swap to leggings and a hoody tonight - for me, very depressing weather - garden full of slugs eating my plants and I’m fed up with the sound of the rain

I'm kind of south midlands. Was outside at a playpark yesterday, it was grey, overcast and very windy. Me, DH and DS all had our woolly hats on, plus jumpers and coats. Looks similar outside today.

It feels like the UK is just going to become greyer, wetter and windier with climate change.

Over 20° again here now, and the sun's out. We're clearly getting the best of it.

I'm away for a few days and I seriously am thinking of going and buying a fleece. Only brought one cardigan. I've also put the heating up. Happy days!

I'm in Devon and it's lovely and warm we're out gardening in shorts and tbh we've had a nice mix of rain and warmth over the last month. It's a bit weird though as it's usually much wetter here than the rest of the country, hoping it warms up for you all soon.

I'm in Liverpool and it was sunny and warm this morning but has clouded over and gone cooler again. I am sick of it

East Midlands cold and grey, the heating has been kicking in every morning for the past few days! We've had one nice week of weather back at end of April and a few nice Saturdays in May. Keep having to get jeans and socks out, usually they're packed away in April. Also suffer from SAD so I am not happy with the weather!

It's sunny and apparently 16° here today (NE Scotland on the coast) but I think it feels warmer. DH and both DC are out tackling our meadow of a back garden and the neighbours' kids are all out enjoying the weather.

I'm hiding inside with the curtains closed because the sun is so bright and the fan on while I get some work done with the peace of everyone being outside.
