Do we have a rough idea when they will get back from the lunch break, assuming it's after this? I want to time my pizza order correctly.

SpindleyDindley · 24/05/2024 12:05

So basically she was a tea lady on over £500k a year.

Lunde · 24/05/2024 12:05

Bignanna · 24/05/2024 12:04

She does have a problem with her memory, doesn’t she?

Selective cognitive decline?

Snort.

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 12:07

Yeah I did think I heard shouting from the public before. Just before she cried earlier.

They must be saying all sorts

I think your average tea lady would have much more of an idea of what was going on tbh.

Haha I sometimes delay activities due to watching this too

Lunch is often 1pm to 2pm. Can vary slightly.

I'm not around this afternoon so will be relying on you all to keep up with proceedings, please and thank you.

The one all encompassing question I would like to ask is did not one of these directors query why there were suddenly all these alleged dishonest SPM's?

If I remember correctly this question was put to Angela Van Den Bogerd.
Why all of a sudden was the Post Office hiring loads of dishonest thieving SPMs? Did this not ring alarm bells? (or something to the effect)

She said - get this - that in her experience, she had come across dishonest, thieving SPMs prior to the Horizon system, so it wasn't alarming to her..
I've hugely paraphrased.

Essentially they two-faced: on one hand they want to come across as caring very deeply about the SPMs, but on the other hand they fully expect and view the SPM as a bunch of thieves.

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 12:12

@minou123

Yes I remember that, it was quite early on in the inquiry Angela said that

Lunde · 24/05/2024 12:13

Steen "you blame these mysterious other people for not telling you the truth"

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 12:13

Ooooh Whistleblowing policies. This will be interesting

murasaki · 24/05/2024 12:14

Ah, she's on the Donald Rumsfeld unknown unknowns.

JadeSeahorse · 24/05/2024 12:15

Lunde · 24/05/2024 11:57

Changed his name and moved abroad?

Yes, I wonder why???🤔🤔🤔

JadeSeahorse · 24/05/2024 12:17

Thanks @Minou123.

I didn't see her evidence but dear God, what a reply.🤬

I understood this too - they believed the 'little people' were all thieves and dishonest so were pleased Horizon proved them right.

EggcornAcorn · 24/05/2024 12:18

Make me sick, these high falutin sneering bosses. Ughhhh.

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 12:18

Wow

"Force the claimants"

Fascinatedbutbusy · 24/05/2024 12:19

I wonder if my hairdresser will mind listening to this while she cuts my hair... No chatting.

Quirkyme · 24/05/2024 12:19

Cue the crying

littlbrowndog · 24/05/2024 12:19

Fucking awful.
