What was I supposed to do? Re children's bikes blocking entrance to residential parking

About twenty minutes ago I got home. I live in some flats which are at the end of a cul de sac. These flats have their own parking only for the use for flats residents and visitors.

Opposite the entrance to the flats' car park is a house with 2 boys (guessing 4 and 6) who ride their bikes long the road. They dumped their bikes at the entrance to the car park. I had to move one of the bikes to allow me to drive to my bay.

Then about ten minutes ago, I had the boys' father kicking off at me that I shouldn't be touching his sons' bikes. I explained that the bikes were blocking the entrance (only one car width). What was I supposed to do then? Drive over the bikes causing them damage and to my car - already paid a couple of hundred this month for replacement of wing mirror and then having to pay to buy new bikes.

Some parents don't understand that kids cannot leave their bikes dumped everywhere and if not expect strangers to move them if they are deemed in the way.

"No problem, next time I will drive over them instead and send you the invoice for any damage they cause to my car. Cheerio, bellend."

Anymore nonsense from him, report him to the council where he'll be threatened to an ASBO if he does not 'wind his neck in'. They would put it more eloquently than I did.

The guy lives in his own private house - perhaps a year. The flats are split into two - the first half are HA and tenanted by social tenants. The other half, where I live is shared ownership (I own my flat outright) and pay service charge to HA.

If he kicks off again, there is CCTV which the HA can pass over to the police.

Edited

As I thought - HA estate, sdaly a too often event
Yes, keep cctv in place and mobile phone handy and how to switch to video asap

Next time, hopefully there wont be a next time - just move the nike a little, be very careful and even if the guy says someone, even if he is rude, try to remain calm and polite and and walk away from the situation saying something like
"I move the bike carefully in order to ensure there was not chance of me hitting them as I parked on my drive - sorry, there is nothing more I can say" and leave
