Would you take her back to hospital?

19 month old went to hospital on Saturday as she had her first febrile seizure, got diagnosed with throat infection. Sent home and has been fine.

Stayed at grandmas last night and gone into nursery this morning they've called to say they're worried about her as she has a rash, mottled skin and is floppy and not herself at all.

Google is giving me worrying results but know it can be wrong but unsure whether to take her straight to hospital with these symptoms or GP

Oops I meant treat yourself as in be kind to yourself. Take it easy. Get something you would like.
Not treat yourself in a medical way 🙄

What a scare. I'm glad she's being looked after well.

My daughter had a febrile seizure when she was 13 months (I had two as a child).
Ambulance and was in hospital a day. They gave me a letter which meant I could go straight back to the ward if she fell ill again.

Also I told nursery what had happened and they did a risk assessment to make sure everyone knew.

She thankfully never had another. It was do scary.

Hope your daughter is OK 💐

Horrible ordeal. Plan something nice to do at the weekend.
Well done granny for getting her there quickly!

She's been diagnosed with whooping cough and I got a call from the health security agency which was weird but we've got all the right meds and we're ready to be discharged.

Thank you for all your supportive comments Flowers

So good you got what she needed. Whooping cough is really on the rise.

StasisMom · 15/05/2024 16:01

Very glad she's improved!

I'm so sorry to hear that. Whooping cough is awful. I'm recovering from it myself at the moment. My DC (older than yours) had it too but luckily one had it mildly and the other we caught early and he got the antibiotics straight away and never developed the cough. I hope your DD will be the same as it's been caught early.

Horrible to have whooping cough but probably better than not knowing what caused the problem , hope she makes a quick recovery
