To ask why men have to wee standing up?

Why? Just why?

Fair enough if all they have is a urinal or a tree at their disposal, but if they’re in a bathroom with a toilet, why do they have to stand up?

My DS1 was doing absolutely fine sitting on his little clip in loo seat thing and just pointing his willy down, until my FIL in all his wisdom decided to teach him the joys of a stand up wee, and now I am constantly having to clean up puddles of piss on the floor from when he misses.

Why????????

My husband is 73, stands, and never has an accident.

Who on earth told you that?

An extremely eminent judge told me about it first. One of his friends had suffered a nasty head injury as a result and he was telling all and sundry as it isn't well known.

Since confirmed years later when I was woken by a loud crash from the bathroom caused by DH fainting and the doctor explained micturation syncope when consulted.

It's a thing, more common with age but not exclusively older men. They don't have to have a predisposition either.

Each to their own but sitting in someone else's piss is a very far from 'fine' situation for me.

In all my 65 years I have never seen a toilet seat with someone else's piss on it - and I use public toilets a lot as I go on long walks every day, and many of them are unisex.
