This is how this case is being reported, unfortunately this is the only link I can find that doesn't have a paywall but in the N.I independent and all other publications it's still being stated as "An affair"

He is a vile man. I dated him for 6 months, he beat me, emotionally and mentally manipulated me, left me feeling worthless, he’s a narcissist and just a disgusting man! had so much therapy after dating him, for such a short amount of time he really messed me up mentally, but im on the other side now and so much stronger, never will I ever allow this to happen to me again. My case against him was also thrown out of court, he’s very manipulative and convincing, comes across very articulate and smart but in truth he’s a snake. Glad to see karma caught up with him in the end!

Truly awful, unfortunately this isn’t the only concerning teacher from this particular College. I understand another male teacher has been returned to employment following harassing of a female and taking voyeuristic photos. Wouldn’t be surprised if other man in question is returned to employment as well. Significant safeguarding issues there
