This is how this case is being reported, unfortunately this is the only link I can find that doesn't have a paywall but in the N.I independent and all other publications it's still being stated as "An affair"

The Welsh press can be pretty bad as well tbh. Lots of helplines for men after "stressed" men kill or abuse their partners.

This is him. This is my ex boyfriend, I'm the one who took him to court after he abused me. The judge called me a liar and I was made out to be a crazy, jealous girlfriend. I knew he would do worse to another girl some day.

I'm very sorry you were treated so horrifically, unfortunately narcissists very often have positions of power and they automatically stick up for another narcissist. It must have been a nightmare having a judge gaslight you too.

Remember the Jeremy Forrest case? He was the teacher who groomed a student from when she was 14 and ran off with her - I should say ABDUCTED her - to France. Thankfully, he was jailed for it.

The second link was to an article in Derry Now about him being cleared of a "Domestic attack" in 2019.

Thank you! Both the judge and Connor's barrister destroyed me on the stand. I broke down. I was 22, he was 33.
And now thinking back, I remember he went drinking with his students one night at the end of term, and had a few of them back to his house after the bar to continue drinking and I thought it was a bit strange. But he told me they were 18/19 and he wanted to celebrate them passing their exams.
He also told me about one of his female students at the time harrassing him & saying how much she fancied him etc. I was so young and naive, he was so good with his words and could convince me of anything.

I hope you’re OK now @Annieb97 I guess there’s a certain schadenfreude about being proved right about his abusive behaviour a second time - although I don’t suppose you or the girl he abused were the only women/girls he’s abused in his short life. The judge was an idiot in your case.

I am, thank you! It was mixed emotions to hear about all of this, but I was always hopeful karma would get him at some point. I feel awful for that poor girl and any other girl he has hurt, but I'm glad he will finally get what he deserves!

Speaking as someone who was twice the age you were then and dealt with the police (no court case) over my controlling and abusive ex who then believed my abuser that I was severely mentally unwell, I have absolutely nothing but admiration that you went to court at such a young age
I know it's been a long time coming but I hope that p.o.s being brought to light and his mask falling off can give you some peace of mind.
