Off the top of my head....

"This with bells on"

"This!!!!"

"First reply nailed it as usual"

"You are awesome / my hero op"

"Are you on glue?"

"Are you ok? 😬"

Simples - makes me so angry for some reason.

Sigh - I hate this so much.

HotChocolateNotCocoa · 09/05/2024 10:50

“No judgement please” or “Please be kind” in an OP. It just means “If you don’t agree with me, I don’t want to know”.

squishee · 20/05/2024 01:39

We live rurally.

Minimili · 20/05/2024 03:28

I brought, instead of bought.

”I went to the shop and brought a new dress for wedding”

How do people get the two words mixed up?
I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say it but it seems to be a common mistake on here.

“I’m not reading all that”
Usually it’s just a few paragraphs and often the OP would be accused of drip feeding if they made the post shorter.
Do people not read books? Or have to read through paperwork when they are working?

”If this happened…”
This is usually posted on a completely believable thread and I don’t understand what people get out of accusing the OP of lying?

marshmallowfinder · 04/05/2024 03:15

Long story short. I just instantly stop reading. That's not the saying.

How do you feel about TLDR?

mactire · 20/05/2024 06:25

“Are you quite young” is incredibly patronising. The next time I see it, I’m replying with “are you quite old”.

We live rurally.

Nobody says that now. It's always "we live very rurally."

Man Here

Glitterblue · 20/05/2024 14:07

“…..much?” eg “jealous much?”
Naice
”Longstanding mumsnetter - penis beaker, naice ham”

Glitterblue · 20/05/2024 14:08

Oh and “I couldn’t get worked up about this” - and I find it even more annoying when it’s written wrongly - “I could get worked up about this!”

DerekFaker · 20/05/2024 16:02

I am/she is X of Y

For example

Large of nork
Flabby of thigh
Flat of stomach
Small of head

Etc

I REALLY hate this one!

And I hate nork(s) for breast(s).

willowtolive · 20/05/2024 16:12

So many and they've probably already been said, but oh that would make my vagina slam shut forever... I mean really ?

CF - For ages I thought it meant Ct Face as I couldn't think of any other alternative.

Me too 😁

Me too (what does it mean) 😬😊

CantDealwithChristmas · 20/05/2024 16:46

OP: "My partner came in drunk last night, smashed up the house, broke my collarbone and set fire to the laundry basket. I'm shocked and terrified and I'm so worried about the affect that this might have on my small children. Please help."

Poster 1 - Did you mean to say 'effect' OP?

Poster 2 - This is on you OP for having children with that monster.

Cheeky fucker. One of the milestones for MN becoming shitter was when this phrase became popular and posters started to make up stories in order to have a "CF thread".

Poster 3: I’d cook a chicken over that laundry basket fire, it would feed my strapping sons and waif like daughters for a week.

Think I prefer ct face 🤣🤣🤣

WetBandits · 20/05/2024 17:30

‘Speaking as a’ = I know more about this than anyone else.

’I sourced’ = I went to Tesco and bought XYZ.

’Does this need A&E’ = OP is either actively circling the drain or has a splinter in their foot, there is no in between.

Just say bloody ffs!

EverythingYouDoIsaBalloon · 21/05/2024 14:01

'He is not your partner, he is your boyfriend.'

So flipping arrogant. Different relationships progress at different speeds, no one can make this pronouncement about someone else's relationship.
