To tell you how happy I am with my new home?

I am just so unbelievably happy and grateful with my new home. This isn’t a ‘stealth brag’, it’s a shout from the rooftops how happy I am post.

I’ve had a rubbish few months with hospital stays due to pregnancy complications and the process of buying the house was the most stressful thing I have ever gone through due to mistakes made my solicitors.

We moved from a small flat which had terrible soundproofing and noisy neighbours. There were SO many steps to get to the property, the parking was a nightmare, neighbours wheelie bins were overflowing which meant rubbish lying everywhere, dog poo up and down the street, mould in the flat, no storage space and the list goes on.

We now live in a quiet street, have a driveway and no steps to the house, a private back garden, so much storage space, a much bigger kitchen just more space in general and A BATH!!!! I haven’t had a bath in a few years, only showers. I am in the bath now (TMI - sorry) and oh my it feels like I am at the spa!

This morning my partner and I sat in the conservatory, looking at all the beautiful flowers, watching the birds feed from the feeders and he asked me ‘do you hear that’. I asked what, and he said ‘exactly!’. It was so quiet and tranquil compared to what we have been used to.

Anyway, I am just so unbelievable grateful and so happy that we will be bringing our baby up here and had to share that with someone!!!!

I’m delighted for you ❤️ We bought our house 4 years ago and my heart still sings when I walk up
to our front door. It’s nowhere near perfect and needs a lot of money spent on it but it’s everything I ever wanted in a home.

Thank everyone! Have just woken up after a lovely long lie and still can’t believe my luck. Usually on a Saturday morning in our old place the music, banging and general noisiness starts at 6am!!!

Today will be spent unpacking my clothes, hanging the retractable washing line, preparing a nice dinner for later and then my dog is coming home to his new home for the first time. He has been staying with the dog walker as we didn’t want him to be distressed wondering where we were and why there was boxes everywhere. We can’t wait to take him for a walk around the fields behind the house and to see him discover his new home!

Hope everyone has a lovely Saturday!

So happy for you OP.
I remember that feeling when I woke up in my new home years ago, after wanting to move for so long, it was one of the happiest days of my life.
