Do most 12 year olds go to bed after 10pm?

Am I totally out of touch? Dd just had a huge row with me as wants to be downstairs still at 9.30pm. normally she is meant to be in her room reading/listening to music by 8.45 - lights off 9.30. Apparently all her friends are up well past 10pm. Am I being unreasonable - what time do your 12 year olds go up to bed and what time are lights off.
(For context she is up at 7.15 for school each day).

My 13 year old goes to bed about 8:30 on a school night but reads and is often not asleep until after 9. We are up at 6:45 to get her to school on time. In the holidays she’s up anytime she like but rarely past 9:30.

8.30 - 8.45 on a school night. He needs his sleep and goes willingly.

Dd is in bed by 10, asleep 10:30 most nights. Up at 7:30 so 9 hours sleep. Been this way for about a year and she seems to function well off that.

I know some of her friends stay up much later though.
