Help me find wellies to wear everyday that aren't gaping!

I've searching for wellies for ages now. I'll be wearing them most days for muddy walks etc, nothing major but want them to be good quality as I'll be doing a lot of walking.

I have very slim calves and most wellies I've tried on are really gappy and loose on me which I hate as I want them to be stylish and a tighter fit.

I like the look of Le Chameau but too pricey, and Aigle but are these gappy?

My le chameau hand lasted years and I walk miles in them both trudging through mud (and I never clean them) and miles upon miles of road with kids and ponies. They are more like wearing a trainer in terms of comfort and foot support. Ariat are nice (although don't last) but they feel like a welly and are clumpy. Hunters offer little support or warmth. The chammys have been worth every penny for me.

Can’t help with the slim fit but I have tried Hunter, Muck and several other expensive ones and none have lasted being used all winter. In the end I gat a pair of Dunlop £20 boots to tide me over while I chose more expensive ones and they are still going strong after a hard winters wear.

Thank you for all the suggestions. Does anyone know a shop where I can try on Aigle and Le Chameau please?😊

At the feed merchant/farmer's supply shop is where I'd go. Look for something like Mole Valley Farmers.

These are great. I have them for walking the dog as I've given up on waterproof boots and shoes as they don't seem to the job for long and the park is like a swamp all winter. They are a much snugger fit than wellies and have like a wetsuit lining. I got my daughter some cheap short wellies and we swapped one day which really made me appreciate what a nice fit these are

Lechameu do a very narrow fit. Not cheap but probably the best quality.

are your legs not getting soaked on walks though?

Waterproof trousers keep legs dry.

I have Dubarry slim fit boots. Much better than wellies as they're effectively waterproof long walking boots. But they're not cheap.
I've had Dubarry's for years, they last well. My last pair were normal calf width (they didn't do slim fit then), but the slim fit are much better on me. I can still wear them with the boot liner sock things, so they're not clinging to my legs, but they're not gaping either.

I have slim calves too OP, they can be a right pain!
