Had a crap day, got a bollocking for something I didn't deserve to be bollocked about first thing at work. Been weeping at my desk but feel a bit better now, can't wait to get home, run a bath, have said bathwater, watch Hairspray with my kittens and puppy in clean pjs ( dh has text that he has washed and dried my favourite ones as he's off this morning ) and I'm going to have a bar of galaxy with cheesy cottage pie for dinner. I nearly feel better just writing this! What's your rubbish day remedy? Not an aibu sorry just wanted the traffic for ideas!

Help me turn my day around please :)

Enjoy op, sounds bliss.

Eating a Wall's Vienetta in the bath.

Lots of things similar to yours OP. But I also do something that I have put off for ages or something I know is a big step towards a goal I have. It's empowering to be back on top of something to turn the day around as well as all the self care.

Really hot bubble bath with candles. I then spend ages rubbing on ALL the body lotion/ face serums etc.

Fresh PJs and straight to the sofa to watch something simple and enjoyable like Ghosts or Motherland while I drink wine and eat tortilla chips and sour cream.

DH is great at getting things ready for me ahead of time if I text him on the train home, I arrive back to find the bath run, wine poured etc. He's very invested in me having lots of relaxy time

"Happy Wife, Happy Life" and all that...

My husband drives me to one or two lovely country pubs, usually ones I haven't been to before and I have a real ale or a glass of wine in lovely and new surroundings.

We have mass redundancies announced at work so it is inevitable that at some point this weekend I will be watching the Grand Designs where the posh ex-forces man builds a massive basement/castle tribute in a graveyard. It is my ultimate comfort watch. I don't know why. I think it's because almost everything goes wrong and he still ends up with a swimming pool and a random girlfriend.

A bubble bath with rose oil while reading a book and climbing into freshly made bed is perfect (and exactly what I’ve done because of a crap day 🙄)
My heart isn’t doing what it should do so I am seriously struggling but my bedroom is newly decorated and, despite not having the energy or puff to put everything back, I am absolutely delighted with it! It will probably take me all weekend to do but that’s fine 😊

Loved going through these tonight thanks everyone. I am a family bar of galaxy and a glass of Merlot in, watching Friday Night Dinner and feel like this morning was a distant memory lol. To be fair I've been doing a lot lately and trying to thrive everyday so sometimes a crap day leads to a lovely evening! I have nicked DH's dressing gown too, why are men's ones so much better and fluffier?

I read your post as saying that you were putting your kitten and puppy in clean pyjamas, which cheered up my evening, so thank you :)
Hope you are feeling better
