This is MN so everyone will say I am BU and dogs should be banned but a golden lab pup came in a cafe when I was having lunch and I have lost my heart.

So AIBU to exchange my children for this adorable dog (not really but you know)

and even if you don’t like dogs AIBU to think you’d have loved him too!

We have a 6 month old puppy and he's lucky he's the cutest thing in the world. People stop on the street to squeal at him but they don't know that deep inside he is a horrible bitey landshark wearing a fur suit he almost certainly stole from an innocent old lady.

My customers all know that I will make the right noises when someone has had a baby, however, if they get a puppy they have to bring it in for me to see IMMEDIATELY, and I have to get to stroke at least one of its ears.

I have never been baby broody, but show me a puppy and I am lost.

Agree that puppies are evil little land sharks in disguise. They keep you awake all night, chew everything in sight (especially expensive shoes / trainers), bite your ankles / legs / hair / face if you let them anywhere near you, cost an absolute fortune.. The list of misery is endless.

So yes, definitely get one 😀

Puppies are the best. When I'm expected to look at a photo of a human baby I often have to imagine them as a puppy in order to provide the socially accepted response and not my usual "yep, it's a baby."

They are arseholes though.

I heard someone outside the doorway of a shop say "awwww so cute" the other day, I casually walked out, and was disappointed to see it was a baby and not a puppy 🤣

He's not yet two so is still a baby in bull terrier.
Just discovered girls so is unbearable currently lol

I love puppies... other peoples' puppies that is, much like babies I can hand them back & don't have to deal with all the things that come with them.

I've only raised one dog from a pup for this reason, although I'm inflicting another one on myself later this year.

I think this next one will be slightly easier though, my first was a rescue & a livestock guarding breed, so a little ball of fluff should be a doddle.

Golden Retrievers are gorgeous. I'd forgotten how much hard work puppies are so it's a good job he was so cute. He's 9 months now, over 4 stones & still thinks he's my lap dog!

My dog was an arsehole as a puppy although her face always made me forgive her. Now she is 3 and an angel. You get so much enjoyment from dogs but they do smell and they don't live long

Neither of these are puppies, but small enough to be! Boy dog can be an asshole, girl dog can do no wrong!

I was feeling tired and a bit tense when I opened this thread. Now I am a soft lump of goo. The photos were effective enough, but when I read I went to stroke him and he put his paw in my hand I totally melted. Aaaaaah.
