One particular person will post every mundane thing to do with their children.

Hetes a photo of our family movie night in the living room. Or the family cooking a pizza. Like who cares?! She even took a photo of her relative coming home in an ambulance - making sure she got the paramedics in. Like how about give that elderly relative some privacy?

And I have one that posts videos of her talking to the camera in her car “hi everyone, just on my way to work”

I think social media is amazing. But why do people have to share the most mundane things. Just enjoy watching a film with your family. You don’t need to alert anyone you’re doing this.

You are taking the wrong attitude. Enjoy the mundane…

The slightly burnt roast dinners,
The “need gone now!” £1 items that take up no room on marketplace
The attention seeking “Can’t believe what’s happened to me” and the hundreds of “what’s going on?! Then “PM me comments”
The out of focus photos that could be anything and random posts that say things like “how now? What?” By elderly people. Or the ones that post things like “Why is he parked on my drive?!” that are aimed at one person.
The people who post rage bait and don’t realise it’s satire.
The people who are newly diagnosed with autism ADHD and constantly update memes to educate us.
The people sharing random hilarious “just giving pages” My enthusiasm for these is fading with the number of people asking for money for gender reassignment surgery but there are still the random funny ones like “Help me raise £70,000 for the wedding of my dreams” when they have been together 6 months and believe they are entitled.
Reviews! The right reviews are hilarious- look up amazon funny reviews.

Everyone is probably guilty in the history of Facebook of these to some extent, I no longer use it but I cringe when I read posts from years ago. It means something to the person who posts at the time but nothing to anyone else. I love the arguments online as well it’s a guilty pleasure and I know the people posting will cringe one day.

The people who are addicted and post the boring are the best though. I had a fb friend who EVERY day posted several pictures and updated her status with things like what she had for breakfast, pics of her kids walking to school, what time she’d gone to bed, her boring boring dreams etc.…
One day she posted “Mobile phone has stopped working so walked two miles to the library to update my status… nothing to report”
My mother was hilarious updating her status to things like “How are you Sheila? How is your new job?” Without tagging her. After she died I loved looking back at her daft posts.

The woman who posted from the library did it in 2014 and I still have a giggle wondering if she was expecting everyone to be waiting with bated breath if she had toast or weetabix.

Observe the absurdity and have a giggle, some things are annoying but the everyday can be hilarious. If you can’t beat em then join em!
