We've never got to transfer before but looking like we will this round. Can you share stories of your transfer working 1st time please? Feeling anxious and need the positivity. Thank you

Ours worked first time. I was 28. Can't rem all the details as was 13 years ago, but I think I had 5 embryos and 3 made to 5 day blastocysts. One was excellent quality and turned into my daughter. I know ivf can be very difficult and stressful but I honestly found it fine.

We were lucky on our first try too. 16 eggs, ended up with 4 embryos, one put back which resulted in my 8 year old, next one put back didn't take, the next one didn't defrost properly, the final one took and is now 5! So 2 kids from one cycle, never stop counting my blessings. Good luck with your cycle.

I know a few people who've had IVF and it worked first time for all of them!

Good luck, OP! 💖

My friend was successful and beat all the odds! She was told her eggs weren’t of high quality and probably not viable. She gave birth to her son on Valentine’s Day!

Ours worked first time but then again we are both ‘young’ in the IVF world so we expected it to.

I advise following a ‘diabetic’ diet post transfer as blood sugar spikes have been shown to impact implantation. Not loads of data and studies into it but in my view it can’t hurt and although can’t say it’s what helped us, we were successful first time.

We had 19 eggs collected, 17 fertilized and have about 8 in the freeze ‘spare’ so don’t lose hope

Not sure if you’ve come back to read the thread but just to add I was 41 when I had the second IVF pregnancy, 42 on giving birth !

Hello!! I had secondary infertility and needed IVF. On our first round I only produced 2 eggs but both fertilised and made it to transfer. The result is my 15 year old DD. Wishing you lots of luck! 🍀

Thank you so much. These stories give me hope.

Unfortunately at our scan this morning while our lining was very thick she couldn't see the 3 layer image that's needed.

Waiting for consultant to review. Really feel sick of this rollercoaster at the moment.

Our IVF was successful first time and we have a beautiful healthy baby boy who turns one this month. Everyday I wakeup feeling so happy and lucky. I recommend eating well, exercise, fresh air, acupuncture, lots of rest and positive thinking! Good luck xx

Yes, first time success for us.

9 follicles seen, but only 3 eggs retrieved. Gutted!
We were going to have ICSI but the sperm sample was okay on the day so just did standard IVF.

All 3 eggs fertilised. 1st embryo started to fail after day 1. 2nd started to slow on day 2. 3rd embryo was fine. We were very worried at this stage.

The clinic arranged for us to have a day 3 transfer of 2nd and 3rd embryo as they were worried none would make it to blast.

Both put in together and one turned in to our beautiful 6 year old daughter. The other could be seen as an empty sac at our first scan.

6 eggs collected, 6 fertilised. We transferred one and it worked first time. We went back for a FET and that worked first time as well.
Good luck!
