Ok here is my own manifesto (serious) I'm afraid it is uncosted though as I don't have access to all the figures - however I don't think it's beyond the realm of reasonable

  1. Bring back DIYSO (do it yourself shared ownership) scheme on housing over £200k up to £650k - level depending on area- meaning shared ownership applies on open market- not just new builds- local HA involved to control - applies on houses and flats

2 significant amounts of social housing built of all types including some for over 55s - not just all flats. Priority to singles, couples and families earning under £50k with household working at least 30 hours a week unless disabled, medically unfit to work or over 60. ( that might encourage some of the can't be arsed to seek work)

3 Ringfenced Mandatory Social care insurance policy of 1.5% of earnings to all not in receipt of UC - gets paid if claiming UC - no one pays more than £60k towards care- after that insurance kicks in or earlier if they don't have the cash/assets- build some state owned and managed care homes and nursing homes at not for profit.

4 basic tax up to 36% but no employee NI due - personal allowance up to £22k Higher tax applies at £60k -

5 council tax got rid of - local income tax of 2% on all earning over £20k a year - more central funding (hence 36%tax) - flat fee of £50 a month per person on anyone earning under £20k a year - gvt reps in at local councils to see how money is being spent , stop fraud and self interest and back handers.

6 nursery fees and childminders capped at £600 for 0 to 2 years old and £300 for 3 and 4 years old (full time) - subsidised by state.

7 abolish business rates- bring in flat charges relevant to amount of rubbish collected etc.

8 high quality holiday play schemes at £50 a week per child. £20 a week if in receipt of UC .

  1. Re negotiate a Norway type deal initially with EU. Exports would increase, more staffing back from EU , reduce non EU immigration
  1. Build and staff several large immigration centres, with decent accommodation - staff them properly , process and vet non approved immigrants within 3 months- if not approved- repatriate- make sure there is proper opportunity to apply legally from where they are coming from.

11 student fees for medicine/nursing/dentistry/teaching get written off after 7 years of working within the public system and no payments due after qualifying. Payments kick in if they leave before 7 years

The best way to get the "tories out" is to be realistic and accepting they ll tell porkies to get into office. No offence, but it's not rocket science to see that.

I agree unfortunately far too many voters don't see that voting Tory is like turkeys voting for Xmas!
