just now, DH was getting ready for bed with the bathroom door open. I happened to see him randomly wash his hands.

me “are you….are you washing your hands BEFORE you wash your face?”
him “well yes of course”
me “what?”

he hadn’t been to the loo or something he was just going about his normal business previously. I am now worried that I have been washing my face all wrong and somehow missing this totally pivotal hygienic step 🙈🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

No because - and I did originally think what you did but actually - if I think about it, I put water on my face and then I rub in the face wash. So my hands aren’t really clean. But like a Pp I always wash my hands after loo etc and when I come inside so I operate on the assumption my hands are just clean. DH thinks that’s insane!

Yes, I wash my hands before I clean my face, unless they had been washed quite recently,

I hardly ever wash my face....it gets wet when I wash my hair, that's fine for me.
In the olden days when my job meant I'd need to wash my hands and face at the end of the day I would wash my hands but couldn't bring myself to wash my face unless I'd dried my hands first. Even I knew that was odd.
Bedtime involves brush teeth, wash hands to remove contacts, wee, wash hands and done.

Depends what you are using to wash your face. If I am not wearing make-up, in which case I would use cleansing balm. I use face wash, but I would never wash my hands with face wash.

I get ready for bed early some days - particularly if I clean my teeth, then it stops me from eating anything else! Also, if I’m so tired that I nod off, it doesn’t matter (always set my alarm too!).

I usually wash my hands before because it's in my routine, like PPs. I wouldn't think to do it if I hadn't followed my usual routine though. I don't clean my face with soap, so wouldn't wash my hands as part of that.

I imagine your room to be gloriously neat and you to smell of gorgeous perfume.

I always wash my hands before I was my face. I don’t want to rub my face cleansing balm in with dirty hands.

I use different soaps for different body parts, so yeah I wash my hands first with anti-bac soap then switch to gentle stuff to wash my face with.

Nope I just wash my face. Never thought about washing my hands! I mean how dirty are your hands getting unless you work on a farm or something?! I always wash my hands after the toilet so surely that's enough to keep hands clean through the day!

Ha ha, I only ever used to pee once until I was pregnant. I then learned that if you do one before you clean your teeth etc then you can usually manage another before you get into bed - and then you're good for the night.

It was 16 years ago I was pregnant - but still do the double pee now, and it works a treat! DH always gets up about 5 though which is sooo annoying.....

I only ever wash my face in the shower. Sometimes that's once a day, in the summer that's almost always twice a day.

I don't wash my face before bed, unless I'm showering. I don't wear make up, so don't feel the need.

Hands are a mute pony. If I didn't need a wee, I wouldn't wash them, but I can't go to bed without at least one wee, so my hands get washed.

Hot cloth cleanser on face.
Toner.
Moisturiser.
Clean teeth.
Bed.

Shower and wash hair every morning.
Facial wash on face.
Once a week facial scrub.

I'm still shocked by that study a while back that showed there are many people that never wash their legs 😂

Wash hands before - I use a cleansing balm so can't wash hands with that!
I do my skincare early after exercise so probably 6/7pm

Yep, I wash my hands before I wash my face. I use handwash for my hands, and a different cleanser for my face.
