I think it's the natural order of things that many people of a certain age get very judgemental about what the young folk may choose to wear!
It's not ugly, just far too revealing, I'd argue not sexy (though I can see the top turning heads down the local Spoons) and makes me feel chilly to look at it.

The shorts are atrocious, but I don't mind the top, particularly. I don't THINK most women would wear it just with a bra!

My mid-teens daughter has a couple from Urban Outfitters, and wears them over normal tops with a neckline that hits around her collarbone. They look good, and not immodest at all the way she wears them (or I wouldn't let her, and I lean conservative in this regard!):

It's vile but loads of younger women are doing show boobs in boob tubes/tops like this whether they suit them or not.

Having said that in my 20s I wore stuff that was revealing and low cut (not like this) and as shy teenager I'm quite pleased I had the confidence and body to wear it back then!

I’d wear the top as a bed jacket.

Cheap, tacky, embarrassing, chavvy, zero class, zero self respect,

Sort of thing Katie Price, the well known criminal (drunk/drug driving, no insurance, no licence) would wear

Lorrainedrops · 14/03/2024 20:15

It's awful, whats the point in wearing it ! 😖

Definitely! Lol

It looks very practical to me! Great for warming your arms up whilst sunbathing around the pool.

Ooh, that's a good point actually. I often get cold arms and shoulders in the night, but don't like them under the duvet! Can you imagine the designer's sense of deflation upon it becoming a practical mumsnetter trend.
