Is just infuriating ?

Why would a person think this is acceptable ?

I've mentioned it so many times, but it continues.

I came down this morning and it's just pretty much all open. Doesn't even try to keep it together and reseal.

I usually try and squish it together and put it in the cupboard standing up. He gives zero fucks and just leaves it like that, all open basically, in the middle of the table.

he's a twat. Tell him that.
And buy separate bread for you that you can put somewhere he won't touch it. And don't buy him new bread until he's eaten the stale one.

Did you marry a 3 year old ? Buy the bread, freeze it in packs of 2 slices but don't tell him.

Don't ever live with this man.

I never will 😁

Buy a half loaf for him and one for you.

Then he can eat his stale 'don't give a fuck loaf' and your loaf can be fresh.

Exactly this. Is he thick in other ways?

Yes of course, because a man who can't be fucked to spent 5 seconds opening the bag it comes in is going to carefully transfer the open loaf into an organic cotton bread bag isn't he?

😂

Separate kitchen, separate house

My husband does this. And not just to bread. Once, we had little flies and I couldn't figure out where they were coming from. I put cleaner down the sinks, moved appliances, etc. Finally found a little open jar of instant coffee up on a shelf with a spoon in it. Flies poured out when I picked it up.

Well, and I thought my DH was a psycopath for pegging the washing to the indoor airer.

I do that. Much easier than trying to drape clothing over too closely spaced rails. It all dries much faster as you only have half the thickness of fabric to dry with.

Pliudev · 03/03/2024 10:00

Mine opens a new jar of marmalade even though there's half a jar in the fridge. He also avoids three bars of soap (sink, bath, shower) and uses my rose scented and quite pricey face cleanser for an all over scrub in the shower. When I've picked off the short and curlies I hide it. But the bread thing..?..

Saymyname28 · 03/03/2024 10:17

I'd be taping it back up. You could wrap tape all around the outside so it's harder to rip than to open it properly. Then when people ask why your bread is taped up you can tell them your full grown adult husband doesn't know how to open bread like a human being so just tears into them like a caveman and you have to tape it up so it doesn't go stale. He'll learn .

AcridAndStanLee · 03/03/2024 11:47

I'd be buying him his own loaf of bread and not letting him touch mine. What an imbecile. I know someone who used to do this, who was a man but I don't want to say it's a man thing.
