Not aibu just intrigued. This thread was done on here ages ago and it was so fun. I have two:

Pasta is gross, I'll eat it but its not delicious as people make it out to be its cold slimy dough.

I'm sure she's nice but Beyonce is overrated.

Hate big bang theory 🫢... A weak attempt at humour aimed at geeks but the geeks i know realise its simple and pretty mainstream. Some who watch it think theyre smart, because they watch it. Ugh

Edited

And my DH has started to watch them all, every time they're on, which is pretty much all the time... That programme grinds my gears, I only have to see one second of it and I'm filled with the rage! It's unfunny, pathetic and absolute crap! I do not get the appeal! I'm beginning to think he has the IQ of a Jaffa cake...

25thCenturyQuaker · 19/02/2024 22:55

Chocolate and chili absolutely do not belong together, and your palate is irredeemably corrupted if you think they do. Chocolate and sea salt together is similarly gross, and salted caramel can also fuck right off.

And don't get me started on sprinkling strawberries with black pepper...

pitsoffashion · 19/02/2024 22:55

People in long term relationships who still never, ever fart in front of their partners are weird and uptight

Sushilover14 · 19/02/2024 22:56

I don’t like going to independent coffee places.

My ‘unpopular mumsnet opinions’ are:

I like the name Nevaeh. I just think it sounds nice!
McDonald’s is nice (lunch or breakfast)
KFC is even nicer
I like home decor from The Range, home bargains, Dunelm, IKEA etc.
Wetherspoons are fine

I can't agree with Nevaeh or KFC but I'm with you on the others.
I'd add B and M to the list of shops that I go to that MN generally despises! 😄

Alwaystired23 · 19/02/2024 20:56

OMG, finally, someone else, I 100% agree. I hate it!

Same here, and hate that H introduced children to it. The smell, on their hands...yuk!

People who love animals more than people are psychopaths.

This.

Eylis · 19/02/2024 23:00

Gavin and Stacey is overrated

Tessisme · 19/02/2024 23:01

Frankenwolves. That's hilarious @LimeViewer🤣🤣

25thCenturyQuaker · 19/02/2024 23:04

Oh, and I read the other day that Line Dancing is becoming popular again. In God's name, why?! It should be very firmly discouraged - a couple of tear gas grenades lobbed at the perpetrators would do the trick.

Macaroni46 · 19/02/2024 23:04

I don't understand what's so great about going for a walk

London is the most overrated city in the world.

BigAnne · 19/02/2024 23:10

There's no point drinking wine unless you drink lots of it ... minimum one bottle

EndlessWashingUp · 19/02/2024 23:10

Heated airers are hopeless at drying clothes.

The people who post shit like this are simple.

ToWhitToWhoo · 19/02/2024 23:13

Men with exaggerated rippling muscles are revolting-not sexy,

The whole concept of 'milestone birthdays' should be banned.

Most nostalgia is false. Or as I put it: Things ain't what they used to be- and they never were!

(Unpopular on Mumsnet specifically): Thornton's chocolates are delicious, and make a marvellous gift.

ThesmellofLulushairdo · 19/02/2024 23:14

It's fine to ask for money in wedding invitations and in fact I prefer it because I don't have to think of a gift.

People who love animals more than people are psychopaths.

Call me whatever you wish to call me under the sun, but animals are better than people.

They don't fuck up the planet for starters like humans, and we are definitely not superior to them in anyway.

ursuslemonade · 19/02/2024 21:44

I will NEVER stop cleaning my ears with cotton buds. My ears start to itch horribly if I left them to " self clean".
I am very careful and it never did any harm to me.
Cannot stand that wet feeling of wax in my ears. Boak.

Ditto!

Cherrysoup · 19/02/2024 23:20

Gaming is only for kids.

Fizbosshoes · 19/02/2024 22:42

I think its OK to use an ensuite bathroom for any bodily function as long as you're the only one in it!

Jaffa cakes are too nasty to be classified as a cake or a biscuit and definitely not a chocolate

I don't mind getting Bayliss and Harding toiletries

I don't think Mr Brightside is a great song

I've never found Friends funny enough to sit through a whole episode

Agree on all of these except the Jaffa cakes; I LOVE Jaffa cakes!

@Macaroni46 Nor me.. and those who insist on walking after a huge meal. NO thank you I'd like a nice glass of wine/cup of coffee and to sit down... NO, I do not find it aids digestion quite the opposite it makes me feel sick..

Renamed · 19/02/2024 23:24

I hate ketchup too, but I thought you had to have it to get fox shit off your dog? I’m sure I read that on here.

puffer coats- never seen anyone look good in one.

Shorts should not be worn by anyone over the age of 12 unless you’re playing some game

No more mauve or pastel clothing.
