Not aibu just intrigued. This thread was done on here ages ago and it was so fun. I have two:

Pasta is gross, I'll eat it but its not delicious as people make it out to be its cold slimy dough.

I'm sure she's nice but Beyonce is overrated.

OP posts:
girlswillbegirls · 20/02/2024 11:08

I hate Kimberly biscuits
And those cream eggs- totally gross! can't get how people can eat them.

ZebraDanios · 20/02/2024 11:08

I don’t get what the point is of those videos where someone stares at a screen and there are some words above their head. Or they point at the words. Is the only way anyone can absorb information by video now, or could we just have, you know, read the words?

Moveoverdarlin · 20/02/2024 11:11

Ed Sheeran is shite, adults who vape look like toddlers sucking on a dummy, I don’t trust adults who don’t drink tea or coffee, people who don’t like cats and dogs are very cold fish.

People that talk about ‘life admin’ need to just get the fuck on with it and stop breaking everything down into tiny steps to make tasks appear harder than they are.

Lots of the dog threads on here are made up. All these dogs stealing ice creams and picnics from mumsnetters. And dogs in high chairs....bullshit! Mumsnet needs to delete these posters for the trolls that they are.

Phones should be banned at concerts.

Can't stop laughing re. Life admin. So true, just get on with it 😂

ArrrMeHearties · 20/02/2024 11:12

I like mushrooms either with my fry up or in spaghetti Bolognese.
Pineapple on pizza is really nice

3peassuit · 20/02/2024 11:13

Strictly Come Dancing is a waste of the license fee. The tea in Costa, Starbucks, Cafe Nero and the like is foul. People who put the cream on scones before the jam are doing it wrong.

Thepeopleversuswork · 19/02/2024 21:40

God it's awful isn't it. I have to do it for work and its a never ending parade of self-indulgent corporate narcissism. People banging on about their "culture" and "mission" and "values" in the thinly-disguised attempt to get another job. Boak.

I also used to spend a lot of time on Linked In for work. One man had a photo of his bare backside as his profile pic! 😳🤢

One woman, who worked in marketing for a tobacco firm, wrote about how she was establishing new markets in Africa. In other words, she was trying to get more Africans hooked on cigarettes. I could never do that job, but if I did, there’s no way I’d be advertising it on Linked In, complete with my photo and other identifying details.

Weddings are expensive, loads of effort, and not very fun.

The term ' trauma dumping '

So first society says that mental health is important and now we are shaming people for trauma dumping..

Anyone who's ever opened up to someone, now fears they've trauma dumped.

Stupid term that's getting thrown about everywhere.

My GC love Blackpool, so do I, it's my destination of choice as a december weekend get-away. We go the same weekend every year. I like weatherspoons eggs benedict with a £1.50 refillable coffee and good WiFi, you can't go wrong.

We had a family weekend away to Blackpool in December before Christmas. I had never been. I was pleasantly surprised but how much we enjoyed it! Great place to go with little kids (ours were 2.5 years and 6 months). The Winter Wonderland was really fun and great indoor options for when the weather wasn't cooperating. No evidence of stag and hens and absolutely loved the B&B we stayed inwith the kindest and most genuine landlady. Great value for money too - we will definitely be back!

Flabagasted33 · 20/02/2024 11:16

Aperol Spritz is horrid, why would anyone drink it.

Instant coffee is perfectly nice, and sometimes I prefer it to the real thing.

Yes. I always prefer instant coffee

Hedgehogs are weird little creatures that give me the creeps.

😂oh my goodness this made me spit my drink out!

I absolutely love them but you made me laugh, it had never occurred to me that someone might feel that way!

LinkedIn is for wankers.

I agree 100% with this, whilst being a prolific poster on LinkedIn. I absolutely hate it and definitely think most people are wankers on there.

purplehotdogs · 20/02/2024 11:23

Same as you OP, pasta is truly and utterly pointless as a food.

Americans should not be permitted to call pasta "noodles".

People who want to pay stupid prices for puppies because "reasons" probably shouldn't own dogs in the first place. That goes double for people buying flat-faced breeds or purebreds with known breed health issues. You're paying to knowingly support irresponsible breeding, and if you truly think you would love a dog more because it looks a certain way, you're not sensible enough to own a dog. And yes, I know you think YOUR reasons are definitely valid, but they're almost certainly not.

Ohwhatfuckeryitistoride · 20/02/2024 11:24

Marzipan is the devil’s knob cheese. Ruins all wedding and Christmas cakes.
anything that tastes of marzipan-like Amaretto and amaretto biscuits is bloody awful.

DoYouBelieveInMagic · 19/02/2024 21:19

YESSSS!!!!!! WHY ON EARTH DO PEOPLE THINK YOU NEED POCKETS ON DRESSES AND SKIRTS! I HATE IT WHEN ITS ADVERTISED

Because some people, with the enthusiasm of a 5 year old, put their hands in them and say 'pockets!!!'. But yes, for the curvy frame, pockets are a disaster!

WinkyTinky · 20/02/2024 11:26

@Flabagasted33 Agree! I had it once on a night out with work as everyone was always banging on about how amazing it was. No! Absolutely bloody awful!

Things I dislike - alcohol, Benidorm type holidays, afternoon bloody tea, spa days, shopping, Harry Potter, the cinema, the insistence on eating in the cinema, dogs, light nights

Things I like - Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Radio 3, choirs, cathedrals, winter, rain

preppa · 20/02/2024 11:30

The way Americans describe food is a bit odd.

It's very specific and detailed - like the way they order their coffee at Starbucks.

An iced venti with oat milk and sugar free caramel syrup with stevia and half and half butter sugar cream with olive oil.

Mint sauce & yorkshires belong on all roast dinners.
