I’m 100% with you. I like to think of instant coffee a bit like the squash of coffee drinks. No one is pretending squash is ACTUAL juice but sometimes you prefer it anyway.

I think it is weird and wrong that people can own a cat, but let it out to go wherever it wants and have no idea where it is or what it is doing (or what havoc it is wrecking in other people's property). I just don't understand how it is socially acceptable.

My unpopular opinion is that a good instant coffee is better than most ground coffees.
