I am hanging on to mid-sixties.
Very prepared to hear AIBU.

I know it’s not the same but I’m 27 next week and I consider it to be late.
0-3 - early
4-6 - mid
7-9 - late

2Old2Tango · 14/02/2024 21:02

Maybe phrase it as "edging away from mid 60s".

bridgetreilly · 14/02/2024 21:04

YABVU to give a shit either way. You are you and you don’t need a label.

Kemblefordsnice · 14/02/2024 21:09

I'm 59.
I'm in my mid-late 50s.

Donoteven · 14/02/2024 21:19

You are in your 60s and you are in your late 60s. Personally I would just say 60s, not that age means anything. For some people this isn't even slightly old. They'll have decades left. Others can only dream of seeing their 60s. Age itself is irrelevant once you reach 30. I, for one, cannot believe how old I am these days.

SomeonTookMyAnonymousUserName · 14/02/2024 21:19

Mid (only just!) 😂

I think it covers both and YANBU to say it’s mid sixties.

Very late teens? At 75 I think that!

Cantrushart · 14/02/2024 21:25

Just 67 then mid, nearly 68 then late. Smaths innit.

In my head I'm still 17.

This would work until at least 75.

Geppili · 14/02/2024 22:39

Mid to late

Cheshiresun · 14/02/2024 23:48

67 is late 60's.

37 - late 30's. Mid would be 34/35/36.

Same rationale.

BobbyBiscuits · 14/02/2024 23:51

I think after a certain point you can just say 'in my 50s/60s' etc. I can't even remember my own age sometimes and I'm erm...in my 40s?!
So yeah, just broaden it out then you only have to change what you say once a decade! lol.

Groovy48592747 · 14/02/2024 23:51

Late 60's

Pensionable age/bus pass. Still see some places use OAP.

QueenBean22 · 14/02/2024 23:52

Early 60, 61,62
Mid 63, 64, 65, 66
Late 67, 68,69

sorry

DramaAlpaca · 14/02/2024 23:55

Kemblefordsnice · 14/02/2024 21:09

I'm 59.
I'm in my mid-late 50s.

Same here

Keepingittogetherstepbystep · 14/02/2024 23:59

Just say your in your 60's until the day of your 70th.

Doesn't really matter as people age differently.

You could always say your 21 with 46 years experience

Escapingafter50years · 15/02/2024 00:51

Posters seem to be forgetting "early to mid" and "mid to late" and that there's a bit of overlapping, so I offer:
61-62 = early 60s
62-64 = early to mid 60s
64-66 = mid 60s
66-68 = mid to late 60s
68-69 = late 60s
Obvs rework for 50s, 70s, whatever...

noooooooo · 15/02/2024 01:00

I’d say it’s entirely up to you. When I was 37 I was in my mid thirties. Now I’m 43 I’m in my very late thirties. I plan to enter my mid-forties when I’m 50 and by the time I’m 67 I will be almost 58. If I live to be one hundred I might qualify for a bus pass.

toastwithmarmalade · 15/02/2024 02:32

I think anything ending in 3-7 is mid
So
early 60's is 60/61/62
mid 60's is 63/64/65/66/67
late 60's is 68/69

caringcarer · 15/02/2024 03:29

Ferfecksackmammy · 14/02/2024 20:08

60 - 63 early 60s 64 -67 mid 68+ lateWink

I agree with this.

Tatonka · 15/02/2024 03:29

Redshoeblueshoe · 14/02/2024 20:08

It's late, and you know that.
