At home under the duvet on the sofa, ill and pain 😫Dh texted asking if I wanted anything bringing back later. I’m going for Vimto, potato cakes with butter and macaroni cheese in a tin

Tomato soup with bread and butter.

Cream of tomato soup that is!

Boiled egg in a mug.
Heinz tomato soup with milk but last time I had it it was far too sweet.

Oh yes, my staple headache cure:

Cooked white rice, tin of sweetcorn, tons of butter and soy sauce

Or

Cold white rice, cubes of cheddar cheese, peas and sweetcorn in a vinaigrette dressing

Also, ill person snack foods:
Avocado and vinegar
Marmite on toast

Pasta and cheese sauce made with a fuckton of garlic and black pepper. Shape of pasta varies, conchiglie is the best though.

I lose my appetite for 2 days and don't eat and then develop a huge craving for special fried rice

Heinz toast toppers , until they stopped making them. I'm still angry.

If I have a cold or stomach bug I tend not to eat or have an appetite but as soon as I’m better I crave a bacon and fried egg sandwich on tiger bread.
when due my period I also crave stodge and puddings.

Depends on illness

If heavy cold /flu type thing then magic tea as my late Mum called it - basically a strong tea in a mug and buttery toast , hot ribena if sore throat

If more a pain in side , sciatica etc then magic tea and probably some sort of yummy soup and toast ir gnocchi and creamy sauce or shepherds pie

If recovery from an op or something and able to eat normally then still magic tea and a treat like yumnut from M&S, or chocolate or decent ice cream as I lounge on sofa watching trashy film or tv !

I tend to not eat when I'll buy it a cold would drink lots of black Earl Grey. When feeling better would like boiled egg and soldiers, bread with butter and jam or rice pudding. Lots more tea.

I used to make it in the slow cooker with proper pudding rice, full fat milk and sprinkled with nutmeg. Like you I was the only one in the household who ate it, so I had to stop. It was bloody delicious though.
