At home under the duvet on the sofa, ill and pain 😫Dh texted asking if I wanted anything bringing back later. I’m going for Vimto, potato cakes with butter and macaroni cheese in a tin

home made chicken soup but when I’m ill it tends to be stomach related so can’t really eat!

ScottBakula · 08/02/2024 13:12

2 or 3 soft boiled eggs in a mug mashed up with butter and pepper and a round of toast.

KreedKafer · 08/02/2024 13:13

Beans on toast.

snorlax99 · 08/02/2024 13:14

Walkers ready salted crisps (no other brand), and original lucozade.

HappyMuma · 08/02/2024 13:31

Original lucozade and toast with butter and jam. I’d never usually have the butter so it’s a lovely treat!!

Anyotherdude · 08/02/2024 13:31

Batchelor’s Cup-a-soup, chicken and vegetable, is my go-to.

Redglitter · 08/02/2024 13:32

Heinz Chicken & Mushroom soup, plain bread & butter

CantDealwithChristmas · 08/02/2024 13:33

Peanut butter on toast. Got to be thick sliced wholemeal toast.

VeronicaBeccabunga · 08/02/2024 13:38

Supermarket own-brand will not do. Neither will the 'lighter' version.

Have you tried the Deluxe version? Food of the Gods indeed.

pushingthrough · 08/02/2024 13:58

Cheese on toast with lee and perrins and a cup of sugary tea.

Feel better soon x

MeinKraft · 08/02/2024 13:59

My granny's vegetable soup and apple crumble

TheYearOfSmallThings · 08/02/2024 13:59

Sprite, tomato soup (must be from powder), soda bread.

Interestingly the thought of tinned macaroni cheese makes me want to lie down under a duvet until my stomach stops churning.

FinallyHere · 08/02/2024 14:02

My mother's chicken soup. Always have some in the freezer for emergencies.

If I just feel a bit low, I ask myself whether it's bad enough to warrant soup. Usually, that's enough to make me realise things are not so bad.

Verv · 08/02/2024 14:05

Heinz tomato or chicken soup with bread and butter for dipping.
home made macaroni cheese.
toast, butter, marmite
wonton soup
crumpets and butter

weirdly I go right off chocolate or anything sweet when im feeling ill.

Gobolina · 08/02/2024 14:07

Fish fingers, chips & beans.

Heinz tomato soup & toast.

Homemade chicken soup & bread.

If its a self induced 'illness' - Mcdonalds 😂

WhamBamThankU · 08/02/2024 14:10

I only have a cup of tea when I'm poorly. Can't stand it any other time! Lots of milk and a big sugar.

Funderthighs · 08/02/2024 14:17

Toast with butter (and possibly Marmite).

beguilingeyes · 08/02/2024 14:19

For me it's usually something pasta related, or buttery mashed potato.
On the same subject i really recommend Grace Dents Comfort Eating Podcast. It's her interviewing famous people about this very thing. I think Jo Brand's was fried bread.
