To think this isn’t normal for a fifteen month old?

My baby can only say ‘cat.’ That’s it. He does make other noises like dada but no other words. My niece could say around ten words by 14 months! I have been to the gp and they just dismissed it as him being too young still. I don’t think it’s right?

@Flatleak ok so it’s normal but he’s just likely not as bright as those already talking?

Einstein allegedly didn’t speak before he was three/ four and he’s a certified genius.

Your tot is 15 months. You need to relax.

Einstein didn't talk late at all apparently. At least one biography quoted his grandmother's letters when he was little which said that he was very chatty. I think Einstein liked the story about suddenly coming out with some witticism as his first utterance. It's just like the story about him not doing well at school - he did. The Swiss system gives a low number for a high grade. His school marks were good. Is it likely though that a slow to speak child is similar to the greatest physicist of the 20th century?
