Lanzarote? Some amazing architecture by Manrique, pleasant beaches, great food and wine, lots of interesting walks, cycling lanes everywhere, volcanoes, etc. Canaries are generally sunny all year round. Winter is mild 18-24 degrees with a breeze so pleasant.

Amba1998 what are they like ?! Id like to know good places .

Lanzerote and fuerteventura are traditionally Brits abroad drinking holidays. You can go to chill, but there's not much to do. But it depends how much you like to pack in and what you want. I think that Gran Canaria is better for walks. The weather is about the same in March.

Am confused as i thought canaries was guarenteed all year sun ? Is there anywere wiith all year sun ( not oz!)

You would be pretty much guaranteed lovely hot weather in Egypt in March and if you enjoy architecture etc, and you're not bothered by being by a beach, you can't go wrong with Luxor.

Growlybear83 thanks but for some reason i really dont feel attracted to egypt! No idea why .🤪

I would just recommend choosing the hotel carefully. I didn't, and ended up in a hotel with a very 'Brits abroad' drunken clientele, and felt quite out of place.

Getoverits · 06/02/2024 11:25

BurbageBrook i agree - wd like that - in fact i domt think i wd loke a hotel - i like own soace - wd pref apartment - basic as anything - better than hotel to me - to feel alione .

I really enjoyed it but there's not like tonnes to do. But if you want beach, sun, pool then it's great. We went when DC were 3 and 9 months and they loved it.

Gran canaria is lovely in spring. I would head to the south coast of the island for warmth though, we noted a big difference when we explored to the north. Amadores, Mogan or Maspalomas all nice. Have been often at start of April and always had plenty sun. It's not guaranteed but it's very likely.

For guaranteed sun in March your closest is Middle East. I won't say the D word on here for fear of being piled on as it will derail your thread. But suffice to say there are many quiet low key resorts and culture to explore, away from the bling. If you fly via central/eastern Europe or Turkey you can get cheaper flights than direct.

I like the look of las palmos as uts well connected for travel .
it is in the north tho ! And apparently south is warmer.
can anyone recommend a quiet part of the south that has promades for walking and coastal walking routes please?
