to be fed up with people who seem to just go on a topic to stir it up

it is happening quite a bit in SN at the moment.
It is lovely when people come and post who are not living with sn. but we keep getting "trolls" and people who just stir. just seems very odd to me.

induce

see further evidence that I need deliering ASAP

what's bugging me now is 50% of people I see are saying 'are you still waiting' (yes because I am not even due til next week- start with the not yet thens then damn you!), other 50%- poeple I see every day at school- are saying 'are you pregnant?'

I mean there just are not THAT many cakes in the village to make me this size pmsl

I also am happy to see the views of others on the SN board. I actually think its one of the saddest parts about having the board a bit seperate from the rest of the topics as I know there are posters out there who could either help or be helped but don't end up seeing the threads as they haven't specifically chosen to opt-in to the SN board.

Please do post threadworm. I used to tend to stick to AS and ADHD threads on SN as thats my area of experience and knowledge and I worried about posting something crass or pointless on other SN threads and upsetting people. 2shoes pointed out only recently that although we don't all have experience of CP we can still offer constructive advice and support. I now try to post on other SN threads too.

I feel the same about certain posters stirring on SN atm though. All very weird. Very confident and articulate posts from some who give the appearance of being very knowledable and yet there are little giveaway mistakes in their posts which ring alarm bells for me. Reminds me of a certain notorious troll from a few years ago who seemed to dominate the legal threads for a while until she/he was outed by other posters who realised the legal advice posted was inaccurate.

2shoesistheeasterbunny · 21/03/2008 17:08

dustyeastar love the name
I am a bit concerned that some of the advice it ...well a bit odd and if followed could be bad for the person.
we need more people from the rest of board posting I think then it would be harder for these people to do it. I don't think GT would have gone on so long.

It is of course possible that MN having had a fair bit of media coverage recently is attracting a lot of new fuckwits people..

2shoesistheeasterbunny · 21/03/2008 21:53

i think you may be right there

"people offer advice that is obviously based on random thoughts picked out as they float past them on a carnival of dreams yet seem to think they are 'helping'"

in recognition of self

Twiglett · 22/03/2008 11:58

"post away as if they're the oracle on all things typed that it pisses me off" .. yep, dat's me too

FioFio I will have to send db onto that football forum
twiglett love it when you post on sn.

OP posts:
Twiglett · 22/03/2008 12:00

woops .. should read entire thread first shouldn't I, I'm just responding to random posts

Just to say up front, I do post on SN but I don't stir and am interested and do think some stuff through first, and ask where I'm not certain.. I was talking more generally and light-heartedly in last 2 posts

back to reading thread

2shoesistheeasterbunny · 22/03/2008 12:01

come of Fio how do you do it?

OP posts:
roastlamb · 23/03/2008 11:51

I think this thread is a bit ridiculous.

The people you were afraid of have left and you keep going on and on. It's threads like this that are stirring things up.

2shoesistheeasterbunny · 23/03/2008 12:00

I rest my case

Dusty, everyone is different.

Just because everyone on that board has a child with a disability, it doesn't mean that the parents do the same things or feel the same way. The same is true for parents of NT children.
