Would you replace the bath after Mr Muscle Foam Unblocker leaked ..

the foam leaked back up the plug hole, obviously hasn’t worked to unlock the bath drain. Bottle says in bold capitals not to let this happen and to keep away from children etc. Baby has baths in this bath and we have nothing else to use. I’m very worried, I can’t even rinse the bath until after a drain unlocked company comes out as the water just comes straight back up. Would you replace the bath?

@UpUpUpU because it says in bold and capitals do not get it in the actual bath or let it rise up into the bath.

Suspect that is more about potential damage to metal/enamel surface than its toxcity

NO BLEACH. Get a drain man in. He will rinse everything away when treated. Double check with him, he'll tell you the same.

If you want to unblock it yourself if the Mr Muscle doesn't work then the Drain Weasel Drain & Plughole Cleaning Brush is absolutely bloody incredible! You stick it down, twirl it around and then the most godawful gunk hair weasel comes out of the drain! It's quite addictive 🤣 I no longer have a bath but my spare weasels are in the cupboard waiting for when we get one fitted!

You’ll be fine, lovely. Just rinse it a few times with some hot water. That’s enough! Until then, baby will be fine with just flannel washes or a bath in the sink x

Because it may damage the enamel coating in the bath.

No need to use bleach either. Once the drain is unblocked pour a load of hot water around the drain and a wipe with a soapy detergent is all that’s needed.

completely unnecessary to use bleach in a bath you are putting a baby into.

  1. They are concerned about damaging the finish of the plug hole or surface of the bath.

  2. Why on earth are you splashing bleach around if you're worried about your baby? Use eco friendly bathroom cleaners like Method or Ecover unless you want to go down the full blown bicarb and white wine vinegar for cleaning the old fashioned way.
