DD3 is going to be 8 on Sunday, we are having her party on Saturday, obvious theme all about Easter ETC.

DD3 has just thrown up every where (well in a bucket) she has a very very high temp, her ears are hurting and so is her head!

Now I am a person who has only just recently started making plans as before I was so scared that my DDs would be ill - well sick TBH, but recently things have become so much easier and now this!

I will have to take tomorrow off work (not that I am that bothered by that as my DDs come first) but I have just agreed to DD sleeping in my bed and let DH have her bed!

Please Please let this be an ear infection and not a bug! PLEASE, otherwise I will cancel her party on Saturday, and that will really upset her. Have already told her that she can take her sweeties in on Tuesday instead of tommorrow, and her middle sister is going to take her Easter egg in for her Teacher (and she was so chuffed as I got the Teachers name on it!)

Sorry for the rant, but why me? (I know it has to be someone, I would rather wish sickness was banned in my life!

I am very fond of PC (in the right sort of way) she knows that if her DSs need looking after then she can ask me. She certainly makes me laugh!

yes she certainly is funny! Ds asleep in my bed at mo but at least temp ok. Your poor dd. Its not easy being poorly at eight.

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 00:18

Especially when its your birthday in a couple of days! Think she is more worried about the sweets and chocolate than being ill!

mehdismummy · 20/03/2008 00:25

oh bless her little heart. Let me know how she is getting on will you?

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 00:29

Will do Mehd, must go to bed now, as I do not know how much I will sleep tonight!

Good night, and take care!

hi how is dd today?

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 09:47

Hi Mehd. DD was sick several more times in the night. She is very hot and just not moving, says her throat and both her ears hurt.

Have asked for a home visit, so fingers crossed the Dr will come out, I don't often ask for a home visit, but she really isn't well.

mehdismummy · 20/03/2008 09:58

oh poor her. Its a a pity there isnt an a and e near you. What time will they came out. The kapol obviously wont work as she is vomiting. When was the last time she was sick?

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 10:24

She was sick about 10 am.

She is worried about her birthday party on Saturday. Have explained to her if she is still poorly then we will cancel and do it another day. Luckily it is at home this year.

oh dear. Hopefully gp will be out soon. Hopefully give her anti sickness pill or paracetmol you give via the bottom

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 10:45

Wish Dr would hurry, she is worrying me at the mo. She is asleep but her eyes are half open. Her arms have goose pimples on them and every few minutes she kind of shudders. She does have a cover on her although I have kept it to a minimum and is not covering her completely. Her temp is still high. Cheeks are very rosy.

windygalestoday · 20/03/2008 10:59

i know im probably not telling you anything you dont already know but if you have a soft flannel and just wipe her down with lukewarm water and let her lick an ice lolly now and again that will help her - the goosepimples are her bodys reaction to the heat inside -its really scarey i know but the dr will be there soon ,hugs and positive thoughts coming your way xxx

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 11:03

Thanks Windy, me being the nurse is all new. DH has done it for the last 8 yrs, but I am on a mission, so far so good, even DH told me I was a "GOOD GIRL" at the way I was handling it. (he wasn't putting me down - its just normally when one of the DDs are ill, I normally run into the conservatory screaming "why me!!!"

mehdismummy · 20/03/2008 11:30

what is her temp? Call nhs direct? Or call drs again?

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 12:10

Dr has just been, he is lovely. Checked her over and said that both her ears and her throat are infected. I had just taken her temp and it was 39.2 poor thing.
He has written her for some antibiotics, just need someone now to get them! HMMMMM.

She just asked for some marmite fingers (her fav) gave them to her, and she said perhaps I will have them later. She has now gone back to sleep.

OP posts:
mehdismummy · 20/03/2008 12:28

oh dear. Is there anyone you can phone to get them for you? Did he say how long before they start to work?

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 12:33

He said hopefully in the next 24/48hrs.

Just rang MIL, and told her but she never offered to get prescription. May have to wait till 3pm and ask eldest DD to sit for 5mins while I pop to chemist.

OP posts:
mehdismummy · 20/03/2008 12:37

oh dear. Could you ring chemist and explain perhaps send a taxi for it?

windygalestoday · 20/03/2008 12:58

ring the MIL and ask her straight out - id bloody go for you if you lived in oldham

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 21:47

Touch wood she hasn't been sick since 10am!

Can't believe how much she has slept, she even went to bed before 8pm!

So does not like her medicine!

Had a small amount of mash for tea (as in 2 teaspoons!) - she does so love her potatoes!

Need to keep everything crossed that she is ok for Saturday so she can enjoy her party!

Solitaire · 20/03/2008 21:51

Glad to here DD is much better. Hope you have a better night tonight and she makes her party.

pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 21:56

Please keep everything crossed!

and thanks xx

| now have the build up again to going to bed! DD has asked to sleep in our bed, not a prob, but then asked her, who does she want to sleep with, she tells me "ME" I am gobsmacked! honest. DD obviously likes my nursing skills! bless, she is probably in shock as I haven't really had much to do with illness in the last year!

OP posts:
pinkbubble · 20/03/2008 22:44

That actually should say 8 yrs and not a yr!
