I think that Chris Packham is a lovely and very caring human being, who has at least most of his priorities spot on.
He has no time to spare for idiots - he doesn't suffer fools gladly - and there are an awful lot of humans in this World who are very idiotic. I am not excluding myself from being one of them!
He appears to love his now adult step-daughter very much, and she seems to reciprocate those feelings for him, so that is a massive tick from me even if he had no other great characteristics.
Then of course, and the 'thing' I love him for the most, is his utter love and devotion for all animals - apart from the human ones, where selective care and compassion are necessary to a greater or lesser degree.
NB: I find it interesting that chimpanzees (and bonobos) are our nearest relatives in the non-human animal world, and that chimpanzees are amongst the most angry and aggressive animals in the word. We humans and chimpanzees share a lot more than similar genes, we also share our anger and aggression.
In fact humans are by far the most aggressive creatures on the planet, and the only ones that commit mass murder. So if we come upon someone who seems to be shunned by so many of their peers, and that that is just because they are different to the norm, to what we are used to, can we please treat them at least politely, and with a compassion that they might not have encountered for a very long time?
