To hate next doors cat with an absolute passion

Next door have this nightmare cat which I think is a nasty little creature. Constantly destroying my garden, going to toilet in it, hissing at us. It’s got to the point now where whenever it comes into the garden I specifically let the dog out to chase it to get it out and I’d never normally do that. Dog stays inside most of the year. A lot of cats are filled with love and you can see as friends or companions but this one is just not nice at all. AIBU to hate this cat?

Get a younger, quicker dog.

A mesh system over your fences would easily stop it coming in. A quick Google also brings up lots of devices and products. Strange.

it beggars belief that people who choose to own pets which shit on their neighbour’s property, cause damage and indiscriminately kill wildlife can convince themselves that it’s the neighbour’s responsibility to keep them out. Batshit.

I'd do the the same OP.
Thankfully no cats near us now but we were surrounded in our old house.
The dogs favourite past time was chasing the little bastards out the garden!

It's a bit odd to hate a cat who is just being a cat but I totally get the annoyance of having it come shit in your garden and be grumpy to you.....absolutely let the dog out to chase it off.

Do just be wary of the cat taking a swipe at the dog though....your poor dog may come off worse and you may be better off with sprinklers and citrus.

My neighbour used to have a cat, as well as a Jack Russell. The dog kept baiting the cat so the cat blinded it.

Hmmm. Bad tempered territorial and cheeky cat and elderly dog that's too lazy to even go walkies.

I'm not sure it's the cat that's in danger here. 😂
