To be still sat in my jammies

When I have 7 family coming for Christmas get together at 3pm?

Is it too early to crack open the Baileys?

DH is hoovering and dusting downstairs.

I have a cat on my lap.

Looking forward to seeing everyone but also would like to spend the day in my jammies.

Happy Twixmas!

I change when I get up and washed into 'lounge wear' and haven't and won't move for days. It's great!

GacksonJalaxy · 30/12/2023 14:52

Sitting

Jarmies?

It's what ive always called them. Know others do also

I can't think of anything more depressing than sitting round in nightclothes all day!

Agreed! I can't stand visiting friends if they're still in their pyjamas. To the posters still wearing theirs, I hope you've at least brushed your teeth 😆

Thank goodness my family get dressed as soon as they wake up 😌

If I’m at home, I’m in pyjamas/loungewear! I can’t stand wearing ‘outside’ clothes in the house, I just want to be comfy!

StoodySmithereens · 30/12/2023 14:57

Eugh ya skank, I can almost smell ya!

Mammyloveswine · 30/12/2023 14:59

We've been in pjs pretty much all week .. dc have both got nasty colds, im recovering from an op I had just before Christmas.. I can't lie.. have loved it!

We are normally so full on and never stop!!

viques · 30/12/2023 15:06

I might get back into my pyjamas in a bit ! I have checked the to do list I made this morning , and everything is ticked off. There are even extra things done like making a veg curry, washing the kitchen floor and being nice to the cat as I let him in or out for the twentieth time today ( he has recently lost all cat flap access privileges due to excessive rodent friendships).

To those moaning about the use of Twixmas and Jammies, I'm sure there are words you use that other people don't like. Stop spoiling the thread with the pettiness.

To be honest the moaners are improving the thread for me!

Keep moaning 😉

Sitting around all day in pyjamas is slobby. Just my opinion though. Each to their own.

Newchapterbeckons · 30/12/2023 15:33

I have to be ill to stay in pjs but can happily have a bath and put something cosy on. So nice to hear people doing nothing, most of us are overworked. It’s good to rest and recharge. I dare you to stay in jammies op and meet your guests at the door pretending they have the wrong day 😂

chocolateaupain · 30/12/2023 15:34

I went for run at lunchtime and have since showered and got back into my jammies 😅 if that counts?

Can’t you? You lack imagination!

I quite frequently stay in my pyjamas - I get picked up for dialysis about 6:30am three times a week and I’m only going to lie in a bed or a treatment chair (a bit like a sun lounger only more padded and with electrical adjustments) so why dress? Obviously I put a hoodie over my top though.
Later or on other days if I’m not going anywhere I don’t see the point of dressing up.
Showers are sometimes fitted in before dialysis though and I might put clean pyjamas on afterwards.

They've been and gone. Lovely afternoon. I am now in a onesie I got given for Christmas about 10 years ago watching the second half of Murder is Easy. Bliss!

I always wonder what clothes people are buying, that are so uncomfortable that it means they have to change into pyjamas as soon as they return home? My clothes are comfortable enough to wear all day, and that includes skirts, tights, jeans etc!

Scalottia · 31/12/2023 07:48

Me too @TrolleyCase - or is it a MN thing, I seem to read a lot of posts on here about staying in PJs all day - why? Just get dressed into comfortable clothes. PJs are for sleeping!

LittleMonks11 · 31/12/2023 10:06

Oh lighten up you two.
