Too much food, feel disgusting

I have hugely over indulged, feel gross. I think my thighs have actually got bigger in the last few days. No self control, just binged on everything despite feeling fat and dumpy. Stomach is huge, jeans are tight. I have two more meals out and plan to be healthy in the new year. I am unreasonable to feel so disappointed in myself that I’ve eaten so much? Does anyone else feel horrid and just wants the festive season to end so that there isn’t so much food and eating out?

No, not really. Out of interest, we did count how many plant foods went into Christmas Day, and there were 30! Herbs and spices count as individual food stuffs, so it’s not like we had laden plates. We haven’t eaten any more than we usually do, and it was probably healthier with all that variety.

@Gwenhwyfar Yes there is still a choice. You can get stroppy and say no to those egging you on.
It isn't illegal to keep ones mouth shut when one is full. There is no archane christmas-based law requiring one to stuff ones face with crap until ones thighs 'grow in front of ones eyes'.
Whatever happened to emancipation?

It's just a few days. Have fun and eat what you feel comfortable with. You won't actually put on any significant weight. You'd have to be consistently eating more for a longer period to be gaining anything

It doesn't have to be a law, but there is a social expectation that you not be ungrateful and rude to relatives who are hosting you over Christmas. I have shouted 'no' and left the room, but it causes problems and I just can't do that every time.
It's not actually optional for some people.

It doesn’t bother me - it’ll be back to normal soon enough and January is a very long month! But I don’t feel any different from overeating for a week or so. I don’t get indigestion etc - I guess if I did, it would stop me.
