My lovely aunt who has been like a mother to me has passed away. Her sons have decided that I am not being included in the funeral car and can make my own way to the church. (Money is not an issue) her sons and myself have always got on very well they have been like brothers to me. Aibu to be a bit hurt

Every funeral is a bit different. My grandfather was a local politician. His funeral had 500+ people in attendance. I don’t know how many official funeral cars there were, I just know there were many. People dressed like you see people dress for funerals in movies. We had a police escort it was such a production.

my own mothers funeral we just arrived in our own car, found a place to park, and walked. It was a totally different vibe.

both events suited the person who had passed. That is what matters. Don’t focus on the little details. Remember why you are there, to celebrate the life of someone you loved and to focus your grief so you can let some of the pain go.
