Casual acquaintance has lost 20lbs, got fake tan, veneers and extensions and bagged her man.

Another started a gossip campaign to smear her would be man's current girlfriend.

how far did you/someone you know go?

Work colleague started giving him (her manager) lifts to and from work, texting at times when he was with his then girlfriend, sent a Christmas card "I can't quite put into words how much you mean to me, you are very special to me' - oh yeah, she stole him. She was jealous of what he had with his beautiful girlfriend and purposely set out to destroy that. Booked them a holiday together. Many years on and they never married, and he's living a live of misery with her and their one young DC. She also tried to take another colleague's job as she was jealous of that too.

Edited

Both nasty pieces of work who deserve each other. One a lying multiple cheat and the other a jealous ugly c**t.

I shaved my legs. Think that was it.

Have never ‘chased a man’ 😂 how utterly tragic.

labamba007 · 11/12/2023 20:00

Was this written by a man? I've never heard women talking about 'bagging a man'. Ever.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 11/12/2023 20:57

I didn't go far. He came to me 😁

Dashel · 11/12/2023 23:49

I learnt lots of facts about football and Manchester United as 8 year old me thought that’s what you did to talk to boys and get a boyfriend. It didn’t work as the 8 year old boy I liked thought girls were icky and weird.

Adult me may have laughed at the occasional unfunny joke or bought a new outfit for a date occasionally, probably bought some new razors for smoother legs, nothing exciting and nothing I’m ashamed to admit to.

UnNiddeRides · 12/12/2023 00:58

I learnt to play the Toccata & Fugue.

Dita73 · 12/12/2023 01:02

I only went next door. Neighbours son 👍🏻

Raspberrymoon49 · 12/12/2023 01:12

This is making me feel nauseous, are we in the 1930s or something, the thought of having to ‘get your man’ is awful

blackfluffycat · 12/12/2023 01:24

I did nothing. He did even less. 18 years later I've no clue what happened 😬😬

Museum10665 · 12/12/2023 01:34

normally i begin with a friendship first then see if they start to go down the conversation lines of what if, or the more obvious do you like me ect after building a friendship, usually i prefer them to come to me with the possibility of a relationship

WandaWonder · 12/12/2023 01:34

We met, hit it off and 25 years later still going

I have heard the expression 'bagging a man' but I don't think of them as groceries so I don't use it

UnNiddeRides · 12/12/2023 00:58

I learnt to play the Toccata & Fugue.

Which one?

Wednesdaysotherchild · 12/12/2023 01:56

Croydon! Not sure I would again…

amberisola · 12/12/2023 01:59

I can't think of a single thing I did to "bag" DH, other than maybe answering his texts, and getting dressed, and eventually agreeing to move in with him and get married. He bagged me I guess! 😂

RantyAnty · 12/12/2023 02:42

I didn't do much of anything.
They lead.

Ascubudr · 12/12/2023 03:02

Bit of lippy, short skirt asked if they fancied a drink ?. This was the '90s though.

Should I have done more or less ?

Firefly1987 · 12/12/2023 03:21

I've never done anything at all, can't even flirt-guess that's why I've been single almost my entire life! Oh I did ask a guy if he was going to the staff Christmas party but he just laughed and said he never goes-we both liked each other (I think) but I took that as a rejection as if you can't even be bothered to go to the Christmas party (which seemed like a great way to finally get it together) I'll take it as you not being interested. Am I supposed to be doing the chasing or something? If he's not interested I'm not gonna force it.

NickyWiresSunnies · 12/12/2023 03:23

He said, "it's me or the cats".
😹😹😹😹
@vestedinterests gorgeous, hun, bossing it 😆

Chickenkeev · 12/12/2023 03:47

Bohs match. Set up unwittingly by our mutual friend. 15 years later and and a pretty fabulous 12 y/o. Can't complain!

monsteraa · 12/12/2023 03:53

I met someone I had a good connection with and went from there.

You make it sound like a partner is an object to acquire.

Mummyoflittledragon · 12/12/2023 04:15

He gave me his number. I called him.

Yazzi · 12/12/2023 04:25

I took a communications job in a stuffy old workplace full of morons. Seduced him from his long term wife and children. Never told him to fix his idiotic hair or social policies. Risked my life through all his COVID breaching social events. And now what am I left with?

Boris Johnson

Scirocco · 12/12/2023 04:52

It was about 3 miles from my front door to the wedding venue, so about 3 miles.

NoNoNanette · 11/12/2023 11:22

When I read the title, I was going to reply with 'to Carshalton', but now I've got the idea, I'll say... 'to Carshalton'.

This made me laugh- my then-girlfriend, now-wife moved to Carshalton to bag 'her woman'.

Bireadwhatiread · 12/12/2023 07:09

UnNiddeRides · 12/12/2023 00:58

I learnt to play the Toccata & Fugue.

Tell me more...did it work?
