Reality tv shows you can't stand & why

Can I say all of them. Ok well I don't like reality tv that exists for the point of watching people do nothing I.e gogglebox and for sake of drama ie. I'm a celebrity get me out of here, Married at first sight, made in Chelsea, towie etc- I know some people like watching these shows for whatever reason but I just don't see the point of giving these people air time and making these people famous - we've got enough z-listers out there. The only reality shows I like are usually creative competition shows like bake off, sewing bee, glow up and others like that where I can see people's creative talents on show. What do you think ? 🤔

Can’t stand any of them, though I used to like the Hotel Inspector with that Alex woman who calls everyone darling. She was really good.
The one I really detest is Naked Attraction, with the presenter encouraging comments about the contestants’ genitals, mocking and shaming men who don’t have big penises and women who aren’t fully shaven. Absolutely awful.
I also hate the ones that might as well be called Let’s All Gawp At These Fat People or What Scumbags These People Are.

@Sparehair no- because apart from an occasional thing like mastermind, as a country we tend to celebrate stupid and want to laugh at others.

Increasingly, I find that even competition shows where the premise isn't awful are made unwatchable by being overly long, with too many "celebrity" presenters, whinging contestants, and countless sob stories. I quite like MasterChef: The Professionals because the contestants are pretty focused and sensible people. Bake off: The Professionals was ruined by the presenters who knew bugger all about the subject and just got in the way.

'Strictly'for me has had its day... when it first started I enjoyed watching it but now it's just a career prop up for celebrities and I avoid at all costs

I actually like anything where there’s things to do or challenges and I used to like bb, but the geordie shores thing, with people bitching about people and showing people flirting and cheating and getting over dramatic is most definitely not for me! Love bake off!!

Ditto, cheap to make TV with no entertainment value.

It entertains a lot of people, so that’s an odd thing to say. I don’t imagine Strictly is particularly cheap, either.
