I never thought the Tories would elect Boris as their boss so my crystal ball is fucked.
Do you think the Tories would risk a change of leadership?

They won't because they know they are losing and noone wants the poisoned chalice.
Would love Gove though, he'd smash the last 5 leaders out the park. Competent for one thing, has determination but is also pragmatic. Very experienced. Raised educational standards especially maths and English after the hammering under Blair.

I don't think even the right wing Tories have the appetite for it, with a few of the usual bonkers suspects as exceptions. Wasn't it the case that the "support Suella" gathering after she was sacked only attracted around 20 MPs?

I think even Gove would have a problem though inasmuch as many of the more capable/sane candidates for office have either already resigned or announced that they don't intend to stand for Parliament again.
