Any cosmetic nurses here? Pic attached - Do I need Botox or tear trough filler?

Sorry shamelessly posting for traffic and NC for this!

So I have always said I would never mess with my face but 3 kids and general life has caught up with me and I find myself in my late 30s CONSTANTLY looking puffy and tired around the eyes!

I have tried all the creams, drink lots of water, do have the occasional bottle of wine of a weekend but seems to always be the same.

Does anyone know what may help? I know I need to book a consultation and I will do but need pep talk - convincing that it’s not a huge mistake and it can actually work! Pic attached and as you can see I have dark circles, bags and a weird puffiness around the edges and corners of my eyelids.

Any advice on what could help? I don’t want to look different or even younger just not so shattered looking all the time!

Anyone with any experience or expertise??

@CasaAmarela thank you, I’ve not heard of skin boosters what are they? I think I need to educate myself in the world of beauty more 🙈

@Goose22 v.interesting thank you, I do think this could be a compromise and an alternative to filler. Will look into this thank you

I think you look great and I wouldn't do anything to your eye area.

Things like lumieyes/profhilo/jalupro etc. They're a mix of hyaluronic acids, peptides and amino acids. Your skin makes less of these as you age. The skin booster just improve general appearance - they make the skin plump and glowy.

Your eyes look lovely! You just look a bit tired with the slight dark shadow under them. I have exactly the same thing, and have since my late 30s. I found Touch Eclair totally hides it and makes me look so much more like me. Or, as my mum put it when I tried it for the first time and she saw it on one eye but not the other: “Cor, you look like you’ve been punched in the eye that doesn’t have it on!” Thanks Mum 😂

Oh BTW OP my eyes get a lot darker and puffier before my period. I've heard putting a crystal roller in the fridge and using it on your eyes first thing can help. I have a quartz roller at home but I keep forgetting to put it in the fridge. There is also gua sha - those are super cheap. I also got a cucumber eye gel for around £1.50 from Boots which is keep in the fridge for puffy days - it's heavenly.

I have both, if youbhavent had either before, try Botox at a proper clinic with a proper dermatologist rather than a nurse or beauty therapist. The first time you get Botox it's amazing! It's subtle over a few days and just makes you look more like you but a bit less worn. Ignore people with their "just eat a banana and walk" type nonsense. Results, if you actually want significant change, is not possible without interventions.

@Daffodil18 thank you - did you get swelling/brusing? And did you feel natural after? That’s exactly what I want to just look more refreshed

No swelling or bruising at all. It just instantly looked better. I have had lip filler but that hurts like hell and causes lots of swelling. Also that only lasts a a few months. But I’d recommend tear trough to anyone that feels they need it because it was just so effortless and it lasts. I had it 18 months ago and it still looks good.
