Boyfriend turning his phone off at night time

When I stay over he's started leaving it in another room turned off? Does this mean he's cheating? He smokes weed and often gets shady characters texting offers! But it's likely a woman isn't it

Is he the best you can get? Get rid of this loser.

I agree ! But she must either not mind or smoke it herself.

What is your gut telling you @Needtoknow89?
It just seems so much is wrong here yet your focus is on something irrelevant?

You should instead be asking yourself why you have such low standards or self esteem to put up with a weed smoking man who has a history of messaging other women.

Right! If he's a loser who doesn't treat you well and you don't trust him, you don't need to catch him in the act to break up with him.

Lonesomefetter · 12/10/2023 02:54

I'd say anyone who is dodgy about their phone, angling the screen away from you or basically never using it in your presence are up to no good.

The people telling you it's polite to put it away are probably long married boomers. It's a red flag. If you met him online and he's under 40 dump

Yes there are people who are not wedded to their phone, these people are not likely to be young, or on tinder etc.

Ladyj84 · 12/10/2023 03:07

Can't be bothered about the ins and outs weed smoking was enough cant you do better

Lonesomefetter · 12/10/2023 03:12

I don't know how people would cope in Canada where weed is not a mortal sin and perfectly legal Hmm

HoppingPavlova · 12/10/2023 03:48

I’m lost with so much of this. What does the dog have to do with the phone? Even if it is banned, it would be being able to breed and sell this dog mix, it would not apply to your already existing dog, so I’m so confused as to what it has to do with anything let alone the phone or weed dealers?

@Needtoknow89 .Fuck it.honestly-lifes too short. Take his weed. stop sex 100 %-there is litterally thousandtie millions of guys-with no contract...

PyongyangKipperbang · 12/10/2023 04:03

So this is a slow mo car crash.

Weed smoker, random "offers", your first thought is cheating and yet you are still with him.

Either accept that this is what you are signing up for, given that your standards are nowhere near as high as they should be, or wake the fuck up and get the fuck out!

Well there is weed and then there is WEED.

Skunk is mainly what is smoked over here (dont know about Canada) and it is vile. It has much higher THC levels and is the cause of the massive rise in drug connected mental health crises in users. What we used to call "grass" or "weed" is nowhere near as potent.

I have a good friend who is having counselling and suffering from depression. She now turns her phone off at night and leaves it in another room, and has come off sm. it was recommended to improve sleep quality and mood.

Do most people leave their phone on overnight? I don't. I'm going to sleep and don't want to be disturbed. It is switched off and usually put on charge.

Yea. Apart from my grandma really

LlynTegid · 12/10/2023 07:17

I wish no ill will towards people in Mexico and Colombia.
I do not wish more young men to be stabbed. Or others to die because they are in the line of fire, so to speak.

Hence I think anyone who takes illegal drugs is condoning such deaths and injuries, and anyone remaining in a relationship is equally condoning this.

The phone is the least of the issues. OP end the relationship.
