Just that really. Is it shut down or did it get moved somewhere? And why am I having to post here to find out such basic information? Why doesn't Mumsnet leave some kind of announcement where a thread used to be explaining why it's been disappeared?

Hello @Pollyputhekettleon some threads may be automatically hidden by our filters. (We don't go into detail about what triggers this.) In these cases we review the threads and decide whether to reinstate them.
We'll remove a thread if a large number of posts break our guidelines. This includes hate speech and personal attacks. We understand that MNers want to discuss what is happening, but differences of opinion must be tolerated.

Hello @Puzzledandpissedoff of course you can ask. We always prefer to let a thread stand rather than delete it completely and if it's just a handful of troublemakers our policy is to ban them and hope the discussion can get back on track. We're looking at the thread in question now and will post again shortly with an update. Thanks for bearing with us - there have been a LOT of reports!
