To think husband was rude to me?

I made dinner for husband and he ate on his own while I was dealing with something else at the time. C.30 mins after he started eating in the kitchen I went in to put away 3 mugs. Husband asked me to stop as it was annoying, so I did. I then took out a frying pan to make my own food. Husband got up, walked out of the kitchen without saying a word and went upstairs. Food left half eaten on the table. I text him if he had finished and he said yes. Asked him why he didn’t say anything when he left, he says he doesn’t need to and he left because taking the frying pan out annoyed him after having told me already that the noise from putting the dirty dishes away annoyed him. We got into an argument about his rudeness and he’s now asking if he has to tell me every time he goes from one room to another.

Was he rude when he walked off or AIBU?

He's rude, yes.
As far as the washing up is concerned, I've instituted a rule that I won't be cooking dinner unless the kitchen is clean for me to work in. I don't have small children, but I'd certainly not be cooking dinner for a grown man who left the washing up after I'd explained that it needed doing sooner. Nor lunch. Nor doing the washing.

This all sounds so sad and lonely. I think some people aren't made to live with other people so should avoid it.

How is he with child noise/mess?

I’ll preface this by saying I’m hugely noise-sensitive and have to eat in quiet.

yes he was totally rude! A) where were the thanks for the cooking you did? B) Why couldn’t he finish during the time he was alone? C) if he was bothered by the noise why couldn’t he just ask *nicely for you to give him another few minutes?

Quite honestly if my husband behaved like this he would be wearing the frying pan!

Not really, but I would be tempted.
Does he ever cook for you?
