To want it to be colder...?

I'm post-natal and getting hot really easily. Not only this but my busy body neighbours come alive (too much) when the sun's out and I was looking forward to the colder weather so I didn't have to see/hear them so much for a few months!
Maybe I am a miserable old cow but I wish it would get cold!!

YABU. We will have about 6 months of cold soon enough, so enjoy the days of slightly less expensive heating bills while you can.

It's 23c and sunny where I am today. It is strange for October but hopefully the winter will seem shorter as a result.

I wouldn’t mind if it was sunny & dry, or at least a bit sunny.
it’s very humid & overcast. Yucky damp dullness.

Obviously depends on location…very bright and sunny where I am in the south east

Lovely day today. Sunny with a breeze 23 degrees. Right up my alley.
I don’t actually mind winter just can’t get my washing out. Good I’m old. Haha.
It’ll be cold and dark and raining soon enough.

Woolly blankets, fire on, cup of hot chocolate

I get that people don't like summer weather but if you prefer the cold why do you need a blanket if the ambient temperature is your preferred temperature?

It's psychological. It's how it smells and feels.

It's the act of sitting in front of a fire/under a blanket

It's the smell and taste of mulled wine/hot chocolate

I love the smell of the outside in autumn 🍂

It's comforting to me.

I've just mowed the lawn!

It's a glorious 23 degrees in London today ☀️

We have had a lovely 21 degrees in South Yorkshire. Bike ride done, washing has been line dried and lawn has been mown. I love the smell of freshly cut grass.

I just don't understand the obsession with snuggling under blankets and being cosy....unless you are feeling poorly

"I don't understaaaaaaand"

Really? Do you normally struggle to understand quite basic things?

Different people have different preferencesSmile

Noooooo! I’m loving the a warm and sunny weekend (midlands) for a change. In my summer clothes and sat in the garden, bbq on now. It will very quickly get cold so making the most.

It's the classic MN faux confusion. "I'm baffled!"

I want to come home and put a candle on and snuggle up under a blanket

Why...are you ill?

Why the hell is MN not littered with total and utter tw*ts. 😬

I'm happy with one last fine weekend. I've been too busy this summer, and am using this last warm spell to wash & dry all the curtains, and get them back on their rails.

It's abnormally warm for October though and not good for the environment.
