Slippery When Wet is a core memory of my early adolescence but Blaze of Glory was around when I was first going to live gigs so this is peak for me. I had a lifesize poster I got out of a magazine from his Blaze of Glory vid so that is the peak look for me.

Currently watching... not sure about all their hair?

I walked down the aisle to Bon Jovi's "You Had Me From Hello" - not only a lovely song but absolutely true for me and my DH.

I haven't been advertised this show, clearly they internet isn't that good with their algorithm advertising.

Currently watching 'luther' will have to make a Segway.

I'm also about to listen to several albums thanks to being reminded of this thread 🤷🏼‍♀️😆

We've watched 3 episodes.
It's fascinating. Ritchie is acting oddly though isn't he.
It was weird how Alec wasn't mentioned in the first 2 aside from one line about him being a nasty drunk
I was a massive fan in my youth so these documentary is making me nostalgic

Scorchio84 · 05/05/2024 15:46

it's so nostalgic! Yes about Alec the creep... but also Richie kind of was, so what's that alla bout? (I loved him & Cher together)

I was wondering if anyone had posted on here about the documentary. I loved it and so much nostalgia for me! I was more of a fan in the 90s though. When you look back at the old footage, Jon and Ritchie really were stunning back in the 80s/90s. You can understand why they were so popular.

I did wonder though if the footage had been edited intentionally to show Ritchie as a bit of dick. He seemed to he half cut on the recent interviews. When they showed old clips of him and Jon together, they all seemed to be of Ritchie looking drunk and Jon with resting bitch face sitting in an interview together. I wonder if egos just got in the way. For all Jon came across as Mr Nice Guy in it, the fact that he refuses to stop even with all the problems with his voice, shows how driven he still is.

Glittertwins · 05/05/2024 16:06

I'm up to #4 and yes, Richie Sambora isn't coming across well. Looks a bit odd too

whoscoatsthatjacket2012 · 05/05/2024 18:00

Richie defo looks a bit pissed.

I think Jon should retire now. The music isn't what it was so don't ruin peoples memories by giving a rubbish concert when we've all seen him at his best

Hopperinhawkins · 06/05/2024 15:57

Hmmmm tricky one. 'l'll be there for you' vid = phwoar, also rather partial to blaze of glory and of course the Keep the faith era. Yes I am old and he is my longest standing crush.
Love Richie and the band aren't the same without him but thought he looked like my nan in the doc.
