Bedwetter: will a cover less single duvet be handier?

I have a bed wetter and there are frequent changes of bedding. Would it be handier to have two coverless duvets and just swap them out when necessary? I’m a single parent with two ASC kids and frequently knackered. I’ve only a 7 kg washing machine. Is their marketing spiel correct? Do they squish happily into a washing machine with their “innovative fibres”?

I rate the Night Owl coverless duvets, which I primarily bought for my elderly and fully continent mother who insists on having the bedding on her king size bed changed at least twice a week. She is severely arthritic and her fingers don’t work so the hateful task of changing the bed falls to me. Coverless duvets, what a revelation! They are comfy, look super-stylish on the bed, wash and dry effortlessly and no turning myself inside out to get hateful covers on hateful and ginormous down duvets. A top tip: I stick the duvets on a extra spin and they come out of the machine drum nearly bone dry.

I have bought single Night Owl sets for my two DDs instead of sleeping bags for sleepovers/camping as they are so much less sweaty and far softer and cosy.

Also, I layer three waterproof mattress protectors followed by fitted sheets on my bed as DD2 is an occasional bed wetter but you can absolutely guarantee that she will wee in my bed rather than hers when she comes in in the wee (see what I did there!) small hours. I have done the same on her single bed. It’s so much easier to strip off the initial wet layers and still have full , clean bedding in the middle of the night rather than having to make a fresh bed and, even worse, having a sodden mattress. I have also invested in a waterproof duvet cover for my own woollen duvet on my bed to stop any leakages or wee stains.
