Is my vagina being unreasonable?

I haven’t been able to use tampons for the past 6 months ish. I get them in the right place, but they end up ‘sliding’ down (can’t think of how else to describe) to a place where I can feel them/is uncomfortable/painful. So I have to remove them. It feels like my vagina is expelling tampons. Has anyone ever experienced this?? Found a solution? Has any advice??

For context, I have an 18 month old, born via c section, no birth injuries sustained. I’m 37. I noticed at some point in the last year that I was clenching my pelvic floor muscles almost all of the time. I now make a concerted effort to release the muscles, and I do pelvic floor exercises when I remember.
Have tried to change my position/technique when inserting tampon, situation has improved but it doesn’t last long.
No pain or discomfort during intercourse.

I absolutely hate using only pads/having to witness the carnage and live with that sensation of being wet and the fear I may leak on clothes, seats, etc

Tried cup before and it didn’t suit me so not an option.

help!!

I've had a long term relationship with my vagina, and I am hoping to remain friends forever, but after 3 children, I have to say, it's changed and I don't like where it's gone to. It no longer keeps the boundaries I think it should, and I often find other body parts hanging out in places where only my vagina used to be. But if I try and fill that void with a tampon, it becomes a bit of an asshole and just pushes the bloody thing out.

However, we found a middle ground with a mooncup. I have to make sure the cup is settled well before I leave (and remember that your vagina may also have a viewpoint regarding which cup it will hang out with happily)... but once it's in, it stays seated for as long as I ask. When I'm feeling like I need to go low contact, I add in a pair of period pants to help with mediating vagina related interactions.

@PleaseUseTheSanitaryBinsProvided I've got Wuka & Modibodi and much prefer Wuka

Also "bullet" tampons ftw

Try more brands/sizes of cups. They are very different. Some I like some I hate.
