A silly thread to cheer me up and stop me over thinking about work whilst I am on AL and DS is napping and DD and DH have gone to the park.

Scampi Fries are amazing.

Salt and vinegar chipsticks are the best corn based snack. Then squares, think they are corn too or maize as they call it some places.

They had them in the middle aisle of Aldi this afternoon. Salt & Vinegar and cheese & onion. £1.29 for a 6 multi pack 🙂

Beef and pickled onion snacks all the way. Although I do love a Bugle. Very addictive texture.

Bamba and the Lidl American dupe version are not allowed in this house. Gone in 60 seconds. Even the enormo Lidl bags. Craving now.

Corn based snacks are the best! They seem less greasy than potato based ones to me? The best corn snacks I've ever had were in Japan. They seem to really go in for them? One called Carl/Karl had some great flavours! Curry was my favourite.

Are Nik Naks corn based? I’ve munched my way through the Aldi equivalent this week so I could go downstairs & fish the bag out of the bin to check. I like anything puffy. Chipsticks, Frazzles, Wotsits, Quavers…

I know they are potato crisps but does anyone remember KP crisps? So full of flavour.

I am thoroughly convinced of the evils of ultra-processed food, and am lucky enough to have the time, skill and cash to cook good food from scratch nearly every day. Despite this, I firmly believe that Scampi Fries are one of the great achievements of human civilisation and I will never give them up, never.

Wasn’t there a cheesey version of Scampi Fries at about the same time? Called something like Moments & were a triangular version of cheesey footballs. Lovely.

Fritos Corn Chips were my childhood snack. Unfortunately in California and I can't fathom why they're not sold here.

I found Corn Chips sold in Peru not too long ago and they still tasted good. I ate a very large bag in one go

Omg I loved tangy Tom's! I used to like the quarterback crisps as well, does anyone else remember them? Not sure on the flavour I think it was beefy, but came in a silver packet. I can take or leave crisps now but I do think crisps used to taste so much better than they do now, genuinely off to Aldi later to try and find some TTs...
