Oh dont get me wrong, each to their own and all that. But you know when you have a little fantasy in your head about someone famous that you quite like? Seeing Ed Byrne in a nylon fleece hat and clutching his map in the plastic bag, well a little bit of me died that day!

Although I must add, in fairness, that only man I have ever met that made me go all girly and weak at the knees (the only time I met him), was clearly a very serious hiker/outdoorsy type bloke. dont know what there was about him but I did that cant speak properly thing and made a total arse of myself!

Well in the recent Wham documentary on Netflix he said his dad was Lebanese but was worried about discrimination and wanted to fit into England so changed his surname to Ridgley, hence the ‘tab’.

Ooooh Gary Davies did seem a bit embarrassed when he mentioned the Club Tropicana video. He asked how many sun beds they had had for the video and AR said that as him and "Yog" both had none white British heritage they both had naturally darker skin so they didnt need them.

I did know that but clearly Oooh Gary didnt!

I watched the Wham doc on Netflix (and loved it) and couldn't get over how much one of my friend's sons looks like a young Andrew Ridgely. Like, it's absolutely uncanny. I have only known her since our boys were 15 (they're 21 now) and his stepdad is 100% now his father, so......would it be unreasonable on a wine night out for me to ask?! 😂

I've read ( on mumsnet ) that he isn't that nice , but wearing Lycra isn't that bad surely ?
Most cyclists I see around here seem to like it , maybe it's just comfy or something? ( I can't ride a bike , so haven't a clue)
Dh has a motorbike and he wears padded underwear! He is older than AR though.
We do need comfort as we age! Lol

The problem with cycling and triathlons is that they seem to take up several hours/half a day.

Although my DH took up golf the week DD was born - having literally never played it in the 5 years we'd been together!🙄

@Dighi their heritage was never a secret, they were always open about George's family being Greek and Andrew's Egyptian.

Yes they never hid it. I remember when GM went solo. I lived in a heavily Greek Cypriot area in London, and I swear down every Greek kid at primary school claimed GM was their cousin!

God I loved Wham. Even DH changed his mind after watching the documentary. He thought they were pop fluff previously. I was disappointed in how John Peel dismissed them. They were hugely talented.

AR genuinely seems to be living his best life. I wish to be that content when I’m 60.
