They’re saying ten weeks ? Surely not

i dont think that time statement on the website gets changed... I got mine back this month in under 2 weeks.

ZolaBudd · 18/08/2023 16:57

Oh thank GOD. Mine is a replacement. I did the whole application and the counter signature all in one day, so hopefully not too long.

Mine was submitted on 5 August and arrived today.

TeenDivided · 18/08/2023 17:04

DD's was under 2 weeks about 3 weeks ago.
Upgrading child to adult.

ZolaBudd · 18/08/2023 17:40

Less than two weeks, including a deed poll change of name. That was in July.

Oneearringlost · 18/08/2023 17:43

Less than 2 weeks. Got it all done, photo too at the post office.

red78hot · 18/08/2023 17:44

First passport for baby, about 2 weeks, and that was including the farce of rejecting the first co signature and resigning ( all online)

StrawberryWater · 18/08/2023 17:45

DH recently did his renewal and it was back within a few days. We did pay for next day delivery both ends though (about £13 in total on top of the renewal price).

gabsdot45 · 18/08/2023 17:47

This won't help you but my son recently applied on line for his Irish passport renewal and it arrived in the post 24 hours later. (We're in Dublin) I was amazed.

BorneoBound · 18/08/2023 17:49

Less than 2 weeks earlier this month

IndeedDanielJackson · 18/08/2023 17:52

Do got his renewed in less than 2 weeks. My first passport took almost a month. Ds has been waiting a while but he has encountered some incompetence which none of the rest of us have. Dd2 got his last year in less than a month. They seem to be quite quick overall especially if its a renewal.

ZolaBudd · 18/08/2023 18:08

the ireland one is amazing!

GreenHillsBlueSky · 18/08/2023 18:37

I would think it will be quite fast because I did the one week fast track option and it arrived 2 days after my appointment this week.

ZolaBudd · 18/08/2023 18:39

i think that is the offer though on fast track.
I got all my stuff in one day - the countersignature etc

Motnight · 18/08/2023 19:08

A week for a replacement adult passport

ZolaBudd · 18/08/2023 19:09

thanks mate

OP posts:
dementedpixie · 18/08/2023 19:12

@ZolaBudd why did you need a countersignature? You don't usually need one for an adult renewal

Marmalade71 · 18/08/2023 19:13

6 days for a replacement.
Yes I was astonished.
