She has won the court case. Now she is giving interviews and has apparently signed up to a movie. Does she want blood? I’ve little interest in football or their partners. However it seems gracious to just move on and forget this rather than give interviews and sign up to movies etc.

and shall not rise to insults

Given up until now she's kept her side of the story close to her chest I think she's entitled to speak out about it.

Vardy is a chancer, cf and a grifter. She's lucky she's not facing bigger consequences for her actions (her behaviour in court and conveniently losing a phone in the north sea).

Screamingabdabz · 18/08/2023 00:09

No. I’m sick of women being told to STFU about injustices that have been perpetrated against them. She’s usually very quiet, gets on with her life quietly with her family, and deserves her moment to tell her story if people are interested in it. I’m not, but of all the people to have a pointless go at, she isn’t one. YABU.

Except you're the one on a thread that you're not interested in 🤔, don't know much about but yet have some odd opinions about 😆😆

Off you trot @HRTQueen

She will always be known as the women who forgives her husband time and time again maybe this gives her a little self respect

Maybe you will always think of CR in those terms but that says more about you I think. Please don’t assume everyone thinks of CR that way. I think of her as a savvy switched on woman who stood up for herself when she was betrayed and lied to by someone who pretended to be a friend.

And fwiw I don’t think it is up to anyone else to make judgements about other people’s marriages other than the two people in the relationship. If CR has made the decision to forgive her husband then that is up to her and it doesn’t automatically diminish my respect for her at all. She has strong religious beliefs by all accounts and WR has had an issue with alcohol.

Anyway, she seems to be a strong person content with her life. You never know, she may even be in love with her husband; although I know that’s a hard concept for some people to comprehend on here 😀

Who on earth would watch a movie about this boring shit?!

I'd definitely watch that film and I can be quite a snob about these things.

I'm not particularly interested in footballers or celebs and TBH I'm not sure I'd recognise these two but I've heard enough of this story to know it's bonkers in a "you couldn't make it up" way and a funny/interesting story.

Blossomandbee · 18/08/2023 00:30

She's been given an opportunity to tell her side of the story on an iconic platform, paid shitloads for it no doubt, and is on the cover of Vogue. She wasn't going to turn it down really was she.

Hettice · 18/08/2023 00:33

I have no opinion either way really. I will say, however, that I've always thought, when I've glimpsed photos, that Coleen R has that glowy, lovely skin skin that just looks... glowy somehow. I'm going to google the Vogue cover now.

slithytoveisascientist · 18/08/2023 01:09

The vogue article is really good

RomeoMcFlourish · 18/08/2023 01:23

It’s a good article, Colleen comes across well.

Good on her for standing up for herself.

The sort of person who started this thread.

Or agreed an open marriage from the start, but unfortunately because some people just can't get their head around that, or MYOB, can't like many others, declare that.

PollyThePixie · 18/08/2023 04:00

@Globalfrumpmaster78 well said.

FloweryName · 18/08/2023 07:32

She’s not obliged to be gracious and move on and she hasn’t done anything wrong. What happened to her was horrible.

I don’t think the story is interesting enough to make a film out of but if someone out there does then it’s likely that they have approached her rather than the other way round. Interviews will be the same, the media will ask her for them and offer her decent money for it so why shouldn’t she do them?

Sceptre86 · 18/08/2023 07:53

Why shouldn't she? As someone in the limelight she was made to feel that she couldn't trust her friends or some of her family as she didn't know who was leaking the stories. Can you imagine what that must feel like? This was done over time. RV was not only blatantly involved but sent horrible messages about her, some were really vitriolic. She also named other wafs and was disparaging about them so isnt a nive person in general. She also bought it to court not CR. She used RV doesn't get to tell CR when to stop talking about it.
